I thought you were going to forget that top ring for awhile, Luie. 😃😃 Nice bowl. Poplar is underrated. It can be beautiful. 👍👍

Poplar is so widely sold here in the big box stores that I start to think of it as like a pine.....but it can be beautiful

Hi Luie, That is a beautiful bowl. I have really enjoyed these three videos explaining the process so easily. One tip on gluing the rings together is sprinkling a little table salt on the rings before applying the pressure. it stops the rings from moving but doesn't affect the glue up. I have tried it several times and it really works. Cheers, Huw

I have seen people use salt...I guess that the salt dissolves?

Yep Luie, you should be happy with that piece; it's lovely 🎨🏆 It may have been a long process, but the bigger the effort, the bigger the reward, eh ? Thanks for making these vids and sharing with us 🙏 -Mike

How long do you allow the glue to dry before turning it down, love the bowl, would love to tackle one

    • @spindlesworkshop9744

@@RayMaledon if it’s a plain ring I like to wait at least an hour in the summer time less than that maybe 30 -40 minutes. If the ring has smaller pieces in it I will wait 4 hours at least.
Hope that helps and thank you👍
