Hi mike this is Katie one of the three women you took a photo of at wet meadows lake in Hope Valley. Love your videos because my husband and I do a lot of boondocking in some of the same places. We’ve swum in that waterfall pool outside of Weber lake. Just wanted you to know we made it safely around wet meadows lake and took the PCT back to our vehicle. It will be fun to follow your adventures. Great drone shots too!
It was so nice meeting you and your friends and was hoping you made it back safely so glad to hear because I know that was a pretty good distance for a hike! Thanks for watching!
This was AWESOME! Will promote this week. What a great trip! I wish I could have made this one! Great editing, walk around, everything was so good! That waterfall !!!!!! Loved seeing NextLevel Neville out there with you Mike! 🙌🏻👏🏻😃
Finally got around to watching. You guys hit some amazing spots. I'm showed my wife the video, and she wishes i would've just skipped out on work to join you guys lol (so do I). If we don't get together in the near future, it looks like some snow camping might be in the works.
Such a beautiful area, thanks for sharing. The last time I saw those falls was when I flew as an army flight medic as one of rhe training flight parhs flew right over. I always meant to visit on foot but never did
I enjoy your videos driving around some of the same roads I do. But, I've gotten into your truck/camping gadgets and explanations. You guys are really well-equipped dudes and share what works and what doesn't!
Very nice video👍 I love Tahoe national Forest, I go up there quite a bit French Lake is one of my favorite spots, you have to hike down to it no vehicle access it’s beautiful there👍👍👍
Love Gold Lake. I like to go past it and up to Deer Lake at the top of Packer Saddle. Oftentimes, you'll see hikers that are on the Pacific Crest Trail up there. 🙂.
Tahoe and Plumas National Forests are some of the best adventure spots in California. There are endless backcountry roads that go to some amazing secluded locations.
I was watching your video and Mary noticed Neville in the video ( by the way, what a great guy) anyways, she wants me to take her up where you made this video. You up for a trip next spring with a couple rigs? We need a personal guide😊
My backyard! Wish i could have linked up. So much out there to explore. I think they closed off the petroglyph area unfortunately due to vandalism, but it's not a bad hike.
Got a quick question for you. I see in Gaia there is a lot of land that says blm near cool. Can you disperse camp around there. Looks like it is on the western side of hwy 49
Best places to look for dispersed camping near Cool, CA is to go north to northeast of Foresthill (above chicken hawk CG) or east to northeast of Georgetown (above Dru Barner CG). There is both BLM and national forests available for dispersed camping. Thanks for watching!
That is discussed in the Overland Expo video at 29:25. Also see Overlanding the Tahoe National Forest Parts 1 and 2 for more clues. Thanks for watching! 🙏
So I take it you are afraid of black bears😂😂😂. What is wrong with a regular tent? Much bigger and you don’t fall out of them and bend your roof rails or bang your head. Why not just get a 4x4 Sprinter camper if you want room and an indoor bed and luxury 🙄. And with 4x4 Jeeps, why camp 20 feet away from others when you can easily do dispersed camping away from everyone. I can camp there with my two wheel drive truck. Get adventurous and do some forestry road dispersed camping. And why are you watering the river with your hose? 😂😂😂.
Thanks for the nice comments. Love your Fall Eastern Sierra video and your aussie shepherd pup. I used to have two border collies so have a special love for the herding breeds. Hoping I can get back out there soon, I have so few videos of dispersed, remote camping.
beautiful video! What a great trip!
Thanks Doc! 👍

Wow, what an absolutely stunning campsite. Great video!
Thanks the areas north of Tahoe have far less crowds! Worth the journey!

When you get to my age, the sounds of running water suggests something else. 🙄
🤣🤣🤣 too funny thanks for watching!
What the location of the first camp site?
That is discussed in the Overland Expo video at 29:25. Also see Overlanding the Tahoe National Forest Parts 1 and 2 for more clues. Thanks for watching! 🙏

See my video series on Overlanding, the Tahoe national Forest for more clues about this area but I cannot give out exact locations
