Doesn't the same go for not taking a hit and trusting a player will improve only for them to blank 5+ games in a row? Semenyo blanked 6 weeks in a row. If I had replaced him to almost anyone in the same price bracket I would have made that -8 already.

You aren't starting him each and every gameweek. Same with Enzo, amad, Rogers. Then there's Evanilson, Pedro, etc. you get the drift. There's a reason they are priced as low as they are. You are paying for the chance to get lucky and catch one of their returns.

i took a -8 this week as well. i got robinson for ait nouri and then i wanted to replace cunha with isak but i ddidnt have the funds so i had to downgrade trent to timber. i had 2 liverpool defenders and 0 arsenal defenders, so i wanted to do that anyway. hurt a little bit but i feel good about it.
I would keep Rogers and do the Amad swap in gw21. Rogers is fine to play in 19 (home game) and 20 (home game) given how BHA and LEI are defending. Enzo is fine to play gw17-22. Your team value is not the reason for your -8, you should downgrade J.Pedro in gw19 if he blanks for WHU(a), which as an owner I expect, and then BRE(h), perhaps one return, and bring in a Fulham striker in gw19 instead, so Raul or Muniz (whoever starts regularly by that time, you have two more gw to decide). How many FPL Pts are you thinking J.Pedro earns during this stretch... AVL(a), ARS(h), IPS(a), MUN(a), EVE(h), NFO(a), CHE(h)? That's 19 to 25, when Fulham's fixture are way better in that same timeframe. Amad in gw19 and 20 has the least amount of potential during 17-24. Make the gw21 move. Rogers could be 5.5m by then if he scores in 18 or 19 or 20.

Can’t do it now but I know I will get in Munoz soon and I have another free transfer to do it next week. TAA is the reason you’re in this position Harry. It’s a -8 purely because of budget. Only RAN is a problem for you. The rest are luxury moves. Cunha will play Lei and could easily outscore Isak. Same with Rogers v Amad & Semenyo v Enzo. I get it. Going forward, the team does look nice as a result. But are they significant upgrades? I’d say only Isak is which could have happened next week when Wolves fixtures turn and there’s more info on Cunha ban. Price movements and bandwagons are forcing the moves this week. Ive taken a minus 4 this week for Saliba to Gabriel which seems nuts but I feel like Gabriel will score. A move i wanted anyway but couldn't wait incase of price changes. Now I've considered the minus 8 myself for Rogers to Amad. Unfortunately I've missed the price change to Rogers and it will cost £0.1m to move to Amad. If I don't do it tonight it will cost £0.2m. So I'm in the same dilema. As it stands Im £0.2m away from Mitoma to Mbeumo. Not doing Amad now and doing later means I need extra transfers later to do the moves I want as I'd need £0.3m not £0.2m. But booking a minus 8 now for minus 4 next week should be more sensible than a minus 4 as is and a minus 8 next week.

I personally wouldn't do it. If Cunha is not banned before LEI, he is not a worse pick than Isak. I'm also a Cunha owner and can even get Isak for free, but I'm giving him one more match against LEI.
Your transfers look a bit reactionary but I think it’s normal to be this way. After all we all want to buy in form players as quickly as possible. I already did Rogers to Amad earlier this week. Tbh we wouldn’t have been making some of these transfers if it wasn’t for the dynamic price changes but that’s part of the game. And again, no one likes hits but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. Great content as always :)

I would not do further transfers this week. Rogers will not go down again and if Amad goes up once more you can still do that transfer next week. There is no big difference this week between playing Enzo or Amad. By delaying the decision you can see if you suffer any new injury and avoid to take further negative impacts the following week

I think the question is, is a -8 worse than losing 0.1m on Ait-Nouri? Honestly i'd say yes it is a lot worse. I think you can bench Ait-Nouri and lose 0.1m if he goes down in price. There will be an alternative defender to buy for free next week instead of taking the -8 for sure.

-8 is easily gained back from a stronger team. Sometimes a hit or two can not only strengthen a team but can help miss any price increase.

I think the question is, is a -8 worse than losing 0.1m on Ait-Nouri? Honestly i'd say yes it is a lot worse. I think you can bench Ait-Nouri and lose 0.1m if he goes down in price. There will be an alternative defender to buy for free next week instead of taking the -8 for sure.
