- We have one more horse here again, so come on over and meet her, a black beauty! I also talk about what I do for hoof trimming and one of the ways to tell your horse needs a trim. It's a Junco coming down to get a drink, probably. How come you didn't scratch Luke's face? He was twice rubbing it in the sand to get some relief. I so wanted you to scratch his face and you didn't. Love the drone footage!
Thanks! Yeah, the drone stuff is neat. He rubs a lot, he does get scratches but I imagine I just hadn't noticed at that time. Sorry about that!
Good to know he gets scratched. It's got to be difficult to talk, think, notice and operate a camera as well all while thinking about what you have to do next. I appreciate all you do!
Thank you :) It's mostly just become part of my day now, in the beginning it was odd but it feels more like having a bunch of friends along to talk at. It's awkward though when I need another hand.. but it seems to be working overall
Only thing I worry about is the quick(nerve) by going to far with filing-------then they get freaked......
That is very very unusual to happen with rasp. You'd have to be almost completely inept and uneducated to make that happen as you have to make it all the way through the hoof wall and then through the white line. By then it's gumming up your rasp anyways and that would be a really big clue. It does happen a LOT with nails though when farriers put shoes on. Then infection starts, things get in there and you're three months trying to get it to grow out.
Good to know for sure...thankyou .....wow can't imagine with the nailing though......
I'll cover more in the future on the topic, it's a big topic.
