I’m generation Z, I grew up with out electronics and then my brother and sister grew up with it at 2 or 3 years old. Now they are all about it and I can at least do something with my time when my Phone dies.

You underestimate the things kids learn even just from a simple phone or tablet. You also overestimate how much kids actually use tablets and phones everyday, like most people do now. I know kids who were born after 2009 (4 of my younger siblings are from gen alpha), and they're pretty smart kids, and they know a lot more than I probably did when I was young like them. Are all kids from this generation smart? Probably not, but they'll probably be more educated than the previous generations before. Also, a lot of kids do spend time doing other things. The only kids who are spending hours on their tablets are those with parents who are either deliberately ignore their kids or don't have time to tend to their own kids. It really all depends on the parents, but believe it or not, kids still like playing outside or with toys.

This reminds me of the movie WALL-E, where the human generation forgot to walk and so their hand and legs shrunk in size as it is not required anymore. This gen is very much a reality in future.
I know I though my generation was horrendous (Gen Z) now I need to be grateful and apologise.. Tbh Gen Alpha will probably end up like brats (already happening to Gen Z).

I think Gen A will actually be a generation who struggles with any face to face interaction and will change dramatically in how they cooperate. Screen socialising is a one-way relationship and removes the subtle communication cues we find in person. Not being social in an organic way could mean more toxic traits, like jealousy, entitlement, less empathy (gen Z are already 40% less empathetic), and poor mutual cooperation. It might not be all bad if the system and structures humans grow up into are shaped by their evolved behaviours. A new type of ‘social human’ could change politics, technology itself, schools, economies and what work will look like and involve. I think the next 50 years are widely unpredictable. To say TikTok will still be the number 1 platform is naive… 5 years ago it was Instagram. 8 years ago it was Facebook… Gen A might even decide to reject smartphones altogether and upgrade to biotech and implanted assistants. They might be ‘woke’ and realise the digital age is “so Millennial”.
I'm a gen Z and I can see how the awful influence of TikTok and far too relaxed parenting have a negative impact on the newer generations. I just know that when I have my children I'll raise them with the right balance between openness, discipline, and empathy.
I love how this video only focuses on the positive aspects of the next generation's evaluation and does not once touch on all the issues they will face from the growing mental health crises and negative impacts of addictive social media.

I have a Gen Y grandson and Gen A grandson. My Millenial daughter did not permit the Gen Yer to have a smartphone until age 14. She limits internet and tv access/use. They grew up doing the same types of things I did as a kid: they play outside, play inside with simple toys and board games, and read books. They have plenty of time to use technology as they wish when they get older.

I would tell you!!!!!!! After Alphas, in the year 2025, Generation Beta would be born. Gen Beta would be born in 2025-2039. After Gen Beta, Generation Gamma would be born in 2040-2054.......
Everyone seems to forget about Zillenials, those born 1993-1998, who are not 100% Millenials nor Gen Z'ers, they are an hybrid, i dont know why people seem to forget about cuspers, its important so we can define people better, for example someone born in 1993/1994 have MUCH MORE in common with people born in 1997 than with people born in the 80's, life experiences where completely different, since 90s babies grew up with the internet and social media.

Early GenZ here (1998)... I remember walking back home from the mall by myself, because my babysitter at the time forgot me there. I was about a kilometre away from home, but I knew how to get to my destination. I was only 4 years old at the time. Now I’ll be turning 22, and that event is still one of the most courageous and unbelievable things I’ve done in my entire life.
My son is generation alpha (10 months old.. barely made the cut lol)... Honestly I am happy for them ❤️ i know there are still many things need to be worked on (like MANY), but the world is becoming a better place slowly. We are making progress and I love it. Not sure if I’m a millennial or just right at the beginning of gen z, but I also love both of those generations for a lot of reasons too. (Born 1996 and a lot of different answers all the time) I hope generation beta is also going to come out great... I wonder how things are going to change for them!

I'm a gen Z and I can see how the awful influence of TikTok and far too relaxed parenting have a negative impact on the newer generations. I just know that when I have my children I'll raise them with the right balance between openness, discipline, and empathy.

Yea didn’t even know what the internet was until I was eight, sure my family had a desktop computer but it was in my parents bedroom, so I was never allowed on it.

I have a Gen Y grandson and Gen A grandson. My Millenial daughter did not permit the Gen Yer to have a smartphone until age 14. She limits internet and tv access/use. They grew up doing the same types of things I did as a kid: they play outside, play inside with simple toys and board games, and read books. They have plenty of time to use technology as they wish when they get older.

Everyone seems to forget about Zillenials, those born 1993-1998, who are not 100% Millenials nor Gen Z'ers, they are an hybrid, i dont know why people seem to forget about cuspers, its important so we can define people better, for example someone born in 1993/1994 have MUCH MORE in common with people born in 1997 than with people born in the 80's, life experiences where completely different, since 90s babies grew up with the internet and social media.

Umm no. “Alpha” sounds a bit strong. Todays kids can’t find their way home from Walmart, because they never look up from their phone. You might think they could use that phone for GPS but no, the battery died because tiktok. Oh, and they don’t know their address.

Early GenZ here (1998)... I remember walking back home from the mall by myself, because my babysitter at the time forgot me there. I was about a kilometre away from home, but I knew how to get to my destination. I was only 4 years old at the time. Now I’ll be turning 22, and that event is still one of the most courageous and unbelievable things I’ve done in my entire life.
