    The Most badass suit ! Expensive but when we talk about should you rather pay 1000 US more or get a broken bone to bug your whole life , I say it is worth it every penny !

    I bought the Dainese Air Misano in April 2017. The electronics department said goodbye after two weeks. Dainese has returned the jacket four times not working.
    Currently we have at the end of October 2017, that is, more than half a year later and Dainese does not seem to be able to solve this problem.
    I warn all motorcyclists with the D-Air Misano 2017 that this system is suspected to work very unreliably. In the meantime I was offered another system. It is a pity that this took six months.

    I'm 5-10 190 lb and wear a 54
    With back protector it's a little snug but once I'm in the race position feels like I'm riding naked

    I think this one is for the serious track racer (pro, semi-pro, or enthusiastic) and if you are that serious spending money into racing, this is the suit to go.

    Hey Adam,
    Great Video as always,
    Can you make a Dainese race suit review video where you explain the differences between all the suits?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Who's Adam? Perhaps you meant Anthony? Anywho, as Dainese's new suit models are introduced over multiple years, any comparison video we made would likely be out of date in a year, as one or more of the suits included would probably be discontinued. Therefore, we'll probably stick to making individual product videos. If you want to discuss the differences in detail, feel free to reach out to one of our Gear Geeks at 877-792-9455 or cs@revzilla.com. -DrewZilla

    I think the question may have been asked but I just want to get some clarification. On Dainese website it states the following: D-air® Racing was designed to be used exclusively on the track and is not for road use. Why ? What happens or doesn't happen if I only use it on the street? Cheers

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      All we can provide is Dainese's disclaimer: _"The D-Air Racing I.P.S. must be used exclusively on racetracks, or in other words, on circuits closed to traffic and under no circumstances must be used on public roads or in normal traffic. The System does not offer any type of protection against direct impact with obstacles."_ -DrewZilla

    I just purchased this suit from you guys (same style as Hi-Viz Brian). I am struggling to find the answers to the following 2 questions: 1) Can I wear my current Dainese Wave back protector with scapula protection with the D-Air system? 2) Should I wear my current Dainese chest protector with the D-Air system?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +CycleDoc675 Dainese recommends you wear the included back protector, as wearing your own with the scapula protection might be too bulky or interfere with the D-air system. You should be able to wear a chest protector, though, as the race airbag doesn't come down that far on the chest. -DrewZilla

    When choosing a size, is it normal for the suit to be tight on the collar bones and down the chest when trying to stand up straight? Will the suit loosen up over time?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that's normal. The suit is not cut for standing upright. It's cut for the race tuck riding position on the bike. However, it will loosen up a little bit over time. -DrewZilla

      +Carmelo Santini Get a reasonably priced two piece that holds up to beginner/intermediate level track riding. You'll be able to stand it on the street and wear the jacket with riding jeans if you're just cruising around. Later on down the road if you find yourself getting serious you can add a one piece suit to the mix if you want to step up protection.

    The same question with Adam.
    I am 6' and 200 pounds. 42' Chest 36' Waist
    I always put Dainese 54-56 jacket and 56 or 110 pants.
    Are you sure 52 will fit the guy of 180 cm and 90 kgs?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +hcmpe yang As you may have seen in the video, Brian is 6', 195 pounds, 42" chest (35.5" belly-button waist), and the size 52 he's wearing is appropriately snug/tight. You may just be used to wearing Dainese a little loose, as I'd recommend size 52 or perhaps 54 at the most. Race suits are basically a second skin. -DrewZilla

    What are the advantages of this versus a comparable suit and the helite GP vest. Considering this or the laguna seca 4 with gp vest

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Helite Vest uses a tether system to deploy, so it doesn't deploy in as many situations. With the Helite, you have to be separated far enough from the bike for the tether to release and deploy the airbag. The Dainese D-Air system is much smarter and doesn't require a tether. The D-Air's accelerometers know when a crash is occurring and knows whether or not to deploy the airbag. -DrewZilla

      Like traditional race suits, it does not include a back protector. The D-Air system is intended to be used alongside a traditional race-style back protector. Dainese recommends their Wave Back Protector, though most race-style back protectors are acceptable. -DrewZilla

    Much cheaper to just use an inflatable vest over your regular suit triggered via tether. This is an awesome system, but probably not affordable for the typical (US) racer that is crashing 2-3 times a season (at least).

      True about the lack of shoulder protection. I disagree about the speed in which they deploy. I have crash footage of a guy who high sided in front of me, his tether system inflated way before he even hit the ground. YMMV

    Did Dianese miss the fact that in California for instance, people wear their full leathers when riding the canyons (includes street riding on the way to the canyons). This suit lacks chest protection for this type of riding and it's needed. A simple search on youtube will show why. The jacket set up is just as bad in that it lacks shoulder protection... are you kidding? I can understand the race suit configuration for track only... but Dianese just lost a whole market segment. I have to say that Alpinestars has a better overall set up for canyon riders... too bad.

    • @TWIRKNOLOVE
      @TWIRKNOLOVE 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Imagine being sued by joe-shmo canyon rider because he said his suit didn't protect him when he collided into a canyon wall because he was so confident Dainese said it would.
      They're not going to jump on that liability wagon for good reason. I frequent SoCal canyons every other weekend and still understand.
