So while I personally use Canoptek Court for my own games / local tourney's, my son (10) asked for a Silent King and Night Scythe for his Birthday (we are slowly building them together). We have a fun idea to play the following list based on the units he likes the most. The Tachyon Overlord goes with a Chrono and the Immortal squad in the Night Scythe. The idea is that it can jump on a board edge turn one due to its special rule, drop out the Immortals and blast a target with the +1 to wound out of nowhere, then either fire and fade onto an objective to score or get scooped back up by the Scythe at the end of your fight phase before they can get targeted in return for protection and move around again. Then you have the Stalker and Wraiths fighting for an objective on the flank with everything else castled up and going up the gut. I'd love to get some of your thoughts. Will it score a lot in a tourney - no, will it looks awesome on the table, I think so. I have put together a fun list that I plan to use sometime, just using 3 Triarch stalkers as speedy and tanky units with really annoying guns. Additionally, I believe the anti infantry 5+ is meant to trigger Devastating Wounds more often, so if you have the points chucking it on an overlord can just increase its damage. It's not because it helps you wound things due to having strength 2
You can build a Character killing Overlord. Enhancement: unflinching will for Crit wounds 5+ Overlords warscythe 3 attacks (ws 3+ though) 3dmg dev wounds or blade for 4 attacks 2dmg dev wounds (ws 2+) Lead an Immortal squad for wound re rolls and you can fish for dev wounds with free precision. Depending on how much you invest in that unit, it would be something. (A cryptec, a full sqaud of immortals and some thralls, res orb if you take blade, szeras nearby for AOC and +1 AP). Love exploring this detatchment though!!
You can yes but many armies can trigger precision in combat. What is unique or was unique was prior editions we had a Relic that allowed precision on the CCB. It was a mid combo that allowed you to fly up and start character snipping from it. CCB not being an overlord it can't take the Relic so sadly thebsnipimg CCB doesn't return...yet...also just for precision we have a strat avalible for the unit to gain precision in combat. Personally I'd rather save my enhancement slot and spend the command point....but the arrow has been a tempting weapon to look at with precision.
@@timmsnation723 Enhancement Unflinching will Anti-infantry 5+ and devastating wounds, mean you deal MWs on 5+ to infantry models. So infantry character can get killed more easily.

you can stack a -1BS and -1 to hit though.
Yes that you can. Is there one in this Detachment I missed? I know admech has one it is a rare rules situation but it is true.
The anti infantry 5+ is for crits - like dev wounds ok 5+ not 6+ . Not great but something..
Which ability are you referencing? Thanks for watching!
