    Good video! Do you think there will be more “how-to” on advance searches? I would really like one know how to filter by a continuous date. Similar to the =Today() function in excel.

    I have a more advanced question. I'm trying to populate a report of important data for myself that gives me a snap shot of all my soldiers. I have done this except running into one issue. Soldiers PCSing (To Report Date (All Assignments)) I would like their report date to populate. This criteria shows all of their erroneous ones unless I filter using SQL =Now(). When I do that, it removes everyone and only shows those Soldiers PCS report dates. It does remove all the erroneous ones. The question is, is there a way to use that filter and still show everyone else on the report. So all soldiers are displayed and only report dates greater than now() populate in that column? Idk if you have teams, I could share my screen and show you what I mean.

      I understand what you're getting at. Hit me up on TEAMS (CW2 Brady Sheridan) and we can take a look at it

    Where can I find the IMREPR (Retention Codes)? (9V, 9B etc) I tried looking at restrictions but I wasn't successful.

      It is listed in restrictions. Should be under the Retention Eligibility Category and I believe those item codes start with RET (RET9B) but don't quote me on that

    I tried to save a query in the shared folder for our unit but the query won't populate for anyone else. How do I share the queries with my unit?

    • @ArmyAGTube
      @ArmyAGTube  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you say it won't populate do you mean they can't find it? Or when they open the query, they can't get any data to populate? Any user can locate queries in shared folders so, assuming it is saved properly in a shared folder, it sounds like there may be a filter within your query that is causing other users issues. Feel free to send me a message on TEAMS - @CW2 Brady Sheridan, and we can take a look at it.

    How do you combine fields with a separation?
    For example I have ASI1 and ASI2 combined with “Position Attributes”.”Position ASI 1” ll “Position Attributes”.”Position ASI 2”, but I can’t put a space or comma between them. The output is 5QS7 for example. I can manage with that output since each ASI has two characters, but it would be nice to combine the Address to get a one line HOR.

      CONCAT is the function you want. This allows you to Concatenate two character strings. Where it gets tricky is combining more than 2 columns. For this, you would have to nest the CONCAT function. EX: CONCAT (CONCAT(expr1, expr2), expr3). You can hit me up on TEAMS if you want and I'm sure we can figure something out.

      I just uploaded a new video on how to do this. Check it out and let me know of it worked for you. Thanks for the inspiration!

      You should have the capability to delete it from Catalog. Do you not?
