i think those are the best kind of drummers. it just kills it when someone looks like they are struggling, even if what they are playing is very impressive. making it look easy kinda takes it from a skill to being art.

i love one thing about aaron spears, apart from the fact that his rudiments and groove is heavy, his rudiments are always so creative and very challenging to understand what he even plays at times especially the rudiments and his breaks and his timing

The power hits on the snare fills are awesome and drop into the pocket of the rhythm like nothing else. The anticipation of the "Mambo" vocals and the accompanying symbol smash really lends to the musicality of the piece and marks it as a sharp departure from your typical noisy drum solo.
