When I tried to do the clearance event they didn’t give me half off the clearance price..I was told that the price it rings up for already has the additional 50 percent off included. Is that right?
There are certain and selected items that are half off. Sometimes the employees will put something on the display tables that is not following the event. Did you scan the item on the DG app before ringing it up? When you use the app, if the item is part of the clearance, it’ll show the price that it was and the sale price that is going for. So yeah, in a way the SELECTED item will already have the half off price included, but if it’s not part of the clearance it won’t because it not part of the event. What were you trying to buy when you went? If you don’t mind me asking.
I’m not a pro. But it’s very likely that they eventually will. I just wouldn’t be able to tell you when, we’re just going to have to wait and see. Do you follow Kristie’s Connections or someone that has the pennylist? I honestly think that they don’t have to reduce more in price. Some reasons why items penny, especially food, is because it is close to expiration, or DG just got new inventory and they’re trying to make room for it by getting rid or even discontinued.

Penny shopping is a steal, because you can get many helpful items for just a cent. It’s definitely worth it. It takes time and patience, and gallons and gallons of gas. 😄
