Yeah, I mean it's not a really bad speaker, just kind of mediocre. Like I mentioned in the video, it's bigger than I expected and to only have 6w per driver seems to be under-powered. If they ever get the app fixed for this speaker, perhaps they will put out a firmware update to maybe help this speaker a little bit.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews hey i was planning to go with the stormbox mini or the xsound go. is there like a major difference between their audio quality or is it negligible and not really that easy to tell ?
Totally agree with this review . Tribit dropped the ball big time on this one . Sounds so inferior to their other speakers was wondering if I'd got ripped off . Thankfully it was cheap enough to write off .
Nice one! I wanted to ask for a comparison of this speaker with the already good Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 & Soundcore Mini 3, but after watching the whole video, i realized there is no point doing so, it's a great disappointment really! Hope they won't disappoint in the great anticipated Stormbox Blast 2 coming up later this year
It shows up on the Tribit App but you can't configure the settings because it's currently not supported bro! I have already asked their official Customer Service team and they have confirmed that since it's on the lower budget scale in their product lineup that they decided not to include this feature unfortunately. It's not glitch or bug just to clear things.
I knew it wasn't a glitch. So it shows up because they were going to have it supported, but then decided not to? That's a really bad move. Like with the UE Wonderboom 3 we knew it wasn't supported by the app and it wouldn't even recognize it. Tribit really messed this up.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews By the way, thanks for the honest review bro! I was contemplating to get the "Mini" because of its enticing low price over the "Stormbox 2" but ultimately decided not to. Tribit definitely dropped the ball by excluding the App support. Just also wanted to get your opinion on the "Stormbox 2" if its the better choice when it comes to Portable Bluetooth Speakers on the same price range or do you have any other recommendations?
He won't because they sound the same. This speaker is actually pretty good, it's just a "360" speaker so it's the obviously not going to sound as good to a mic.
@@ericmartinez4897 Soundcore Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro. Even Wal-Mart speakers like Onn have a 15$ one that sounds better. Dayton too. You can also still get an old Sony SRS-XB*. JBL Go also goes on sale pretty often.
I was so stoked about this speaker, mainly to avoid purchasing the Wonderboom 4. But i was so disappointed. It sounds like one of those cheap speakers you hear at a flea market. Nice design, but horrible sound quality.. even my iphone has more bass that you can hear 😂 im giving this speaker away as i dont want to deal with the return process. Tribit flopped on this one.
The Micro has just one active driver. That's why I think the Mini is underpowered by running two drivers with nearly half the power the driver in the Micro has. That's why I mentioned in the video that this should probably be 10w each driver for a total of 20w. 😉
@@JaysStraightUpReviews What I meant was whether the number of watts for each driver doesn't matter, because they are the same drivers, it's just poor tuning. Using eq on the computer, I managed to boost a lot of bass and improve the sound, which for me was not very usable, these are not drivers, because they have enough surface inside for the air to move well, also the passive radiator is simply tuned too low in the around 57hz
Jay I couldn't agree more this thing is fn horrible got it last week and just horrible ... they need to add the app amd even then not sure it will save it

Thanks for letting us know to stay clear of this one. We expect better from Tribit.

Actually difference is there because x sound will sound a lot clearer because it's front facing although sound loudness is higher on mini@@archit9398
@@Charles13X where did you get it for $10?
Sounds amazing but at full volume it gets quiet on bass heavy songs and focuses on bass. Put it into corner

The Stormbox 2 sounds nice, but it's not a really bass capable speaker. Reminds me a bit of the Tozo PA2, but not quite as weak in the bass output.
I returned the two I ordered already
Where’s the bass the miatone QBox blows this away it would make a nice comparison video or Wonderboom 4. This looks like a Wonderboom
Tribit need Update this one!!! New Firmware!!!

Is this better or wirse than Anker Soundcore 2 I wanted to replace...? Can anyone chip in with their comment?
I did a recent video on the Soundcore 3 vs the Soundcore Select 2S and found the 2S to be noticeably better. Check out that video.
