  • Welcome to Rod Tempero's amazing workshop, I don't often get completely lost for words, but his 57 Ferrari managed to do it. A Phenomenal car builder right here in New Zealand, and working out of a cn old chicken shed? you won't believe it.

    Ive always admired his work and feel very proud that there's a Kiwi involved in the creation and restoration of the these stunning Era cars. Loved his Maserati a6gcs berlinetta and the Jaguar XJ13, one of which got snapped up by an Aussie Lol....lucky buga!

    You can buy the original gauges from Veglia. If you make a concrete full size model with bolts sticking out of it, you can bolt the aluminum sheets, heat them and hit them in to shape.

    • @kingcountrytowing
      @kingcountrytowing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's really cool, do they have all the classic gauges?

    • @domenicozagari2443
      @domenicozagari2443 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kingcountrytowing Ye, they are the original suppler to Ferrari.

    • @kingcountrytowing
      @kingcountrytowing  ปีที่แล้ว

      @domenicozagari2443 they make the body bucks from wood, not concrete, and you'll need an English wheel, and aluminum working tools like a shrinker etc, it's a long process, you can see the body bucks at the end of the video. I'm going to take a look at veglias catalog, but it looks like they don't supply all the gauges from the past, other companies make replicas, and man are they expensive

    • @domenicozagari2443
      @domenicozagari2443 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kingcountrytowing They are artist, my idea was to make it easier and fast, make a buck of concrete with a bolt sticking out, drill a sole on the aluminum and bolt the aluminum to the buck, then with heat and a mallet bend the aluminum to shape :)

    • @kingcountrytowing
      @kingcountrytowing  ปีที่แล้ว

      @domenicozagari2443 it's an interesting idea, I think you might have problems pouring the molds, but I'd like to see how you get on. Maybe you could buy an English wheel and have a practice? Maybe restore a car? Best of luck my friend, and let me know how it goes

      @@kingcountrytowing La targa della Montrial MI 2593 se italiana come penso e' impossibile che sia riferibile ( età ,numerazione,grafica,disegno, dimensioni ) a quell' auto prodotta in quel periodo . What?

    Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
    In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
    on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!!!!!!!

    • @kingcountrytowing
      @kingcountrytowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think there will be a much harder time trying to push that through in Nz. There are a massive amount of the population with classic cars
