Hey guys, Thanks a lot for all the support on this one! I recently did another guide but for BUGS instead (All Objectives & Stealth) If you found this helpful, check it out - th-cam.com/video/ocgqf8GxNvc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xUJ8E0-O5rDIgi6E
There are time where you do have to, and times where you don't have to. And it's not like you HAVE to avoid those patrols either, even in 10 :) It'll highly depends on the players and the tools they bring to the table and around what kind of gameplan the team is built around, if it is at all.
I will rarely engage with any bot drop unless I have to b/c of time. That goes for solo or team play. Choosing to engage is why the reinforcements go down to 0
If you’re soloing you kind of have to ignore most bot drops or patrols. Especially if you’re going for a no death run. Sometimes it can be fun to engage tho
Not saying that this guide doesn't work, but will share my expirience: 1. The 'Infiltrator' armor is not the best choice, there are two better armor sets with the same perk but higher speed: "CW-4 Arctic Ranger" and "SC-30 Trailblazer Scout" 2. Punisher is really loud and doesn't work at high distances, better take crossbow - there is no fire sound that helps you avoid bots that go investigate the noise. 3. Recoiless Rifle kills everything. Start with the factory striders (in the eye) and then just one-shot everything without much aiming. The stealth tactic is 'shoot-RUN-reload' executed in circles ~200m around the base. 4. 500KG is truly must-have (for objectives, not the factory striders), but others strategems is just to clear fabricators and bases, I usually take 120HE and Laser 5. Take the radar booster - you will see patrols much earlier and can easily plan the escape route. 6. If you far away enough, when if enemies start firing at you (because you thew a 500KG for instance) - they don't always see you, go behind a rock and run away - they won't go further then your initial position. Managed to do couple of 'no shields, no damage' runs with this setup. Hope it helps
Noise doesn’t actually affect the enemies at all so it truly doesn’t matter what weapons you use, I suggest using stuff like the liberator counter sniper and the anti material rifle
I didn’t have to take out many enemies b/c of the playstyle I used & I only used the Punisher to take out chaff. The DPS + the stun makes it worth taking imo 🤷🏼♂️
@@Luxian2842 I know noise of weapons doesn't affect enemies - but I'm pretty sure movement noise does, doesn't it? Countless times I've been detected by a patrol even though I've been hidden by a wall or building - it always seemed to me they heard me running around.
@@ryhanon7 they can detect you based on your movement or if any bot detects you then another nearby bot will detect that bot looking for you and help it look for you. Commander Cassius made an amazing video on all the mechanics around stealth which breaks down the detection mechanics really well.
These are more run-and-gun strategies rather than stealth strategies but all advice is very useful. Also, it's a super loud loadout. Stealth loadouts avoid aggro or bot drops. The best stealth gameplays I've seen combines these two. Stealth to gain the advantage, go loud very fast and get out.
I think all of the tips and advice in this video would fit under the stealth category but there are elements of a more “guerilla” style but that’s by design
Solo player and a noob, but I had absolutely no idea that waiting for the emergency extract didn't aggro enemies the same as a normal extract. I have called it in with a few minutes or less to spare so many times.
As a casual fairly new player with 2 small children i found this video insanely helpful and the attention of detail you have in explaining everything is really appreciated!
Great video! The only thing I think you under-utilize is the Scout perk's ability to ping the map to see if there are enemies at the location, for example at 45:05, you're using your eyeballs to check if theres enemies at the exfil, when you really dont have to.
Yeah agreed. I’ve just done this so many times that I usually expect a few enemies to be there, so I’m more concerned with what enemy types are waiting for me
i havent watched all of the video yet but if you didnt talk about it, you need to try out the knife. as long as you arent the host its completely silent, oneshots troopers, headshots devastators and berserkers and it 6 shots hulks in the back
@@Snake-d6i for the purpose of stealth, I try not to engage unless absolutely necessary and 6 shots is too many for any one enemy. I will try the knife tho!
A lot of people use the trailblazer armor but I think it’s important to show that you can complete these missions using stuff from the first page of the first warbond. It comes down to the skill of the player imo 🤷🏼♂️
Started trying out stealth today in coop, gotta say, its fun walking around on my own, going relatively unnoticed, popping fabricators and hulks with the Spear and taking heads with the Diligence Counter Sniper
I am very happy to see that there exists at least ONE other person that has noticed the synergy with Stealth/Recon armor and the Punisher, unless you have seen one of my attempts trying to promote it in which case I am still very happy that someone actually gave it a chance instead of instantly dismissing it because "lol light armor pen shotgun against bots! LMAO!". If I can give my own opinion on the topic for anyone interested in trying, especially as non-solo with randoms, there are some minor tweaks I think are worth considering. Grenade = Thermite! good and versatile after the buffs, take out Tanks, Turrets, factories(even walking ones) etc Heavy armor enemy removal in your pocket. Armor = SA-04 Combat Technician(think I got it right) is the afaik only Medium Scout armor in the game, yes you do not get the movement speed or stamina boost of a Light armor but the 100 base armor is high value after the damage changes, combine with Vitality booster and you are not a wet paper towel. The armor is also part of the free warbond which is nice, page 8. I am also a big AMR fan so I think its better than the AC both for the benefits like better handling and reloading on the move but also because it does not take up your backpack slot which you can then put a Supply backpack on for "unlimited" ammo, stims and grenades.
Thermite grenade is definitely a viable option now, but I like the stun grenade b/c it allows you to control the engagement. You choosing to slow enemies is more useful imo. AMR is great but I prefer the versatility and power of the AC
I recommend 120 mm over 380. Still takes out fabricators, bot drops, mortars, anti air, detector towers, and stratagem jammers (tip for jammers, if you have a high explosive or mini nuke in the artillery chamber, those can take out jammers.), with a much shorter cooldown.
120mm doesn't last as long and once you unlock the ship modules for decreased spread and increased damage, there is no reason to take the 120mm unless you want to carry both 120mm & 280mm
That’s a plus for sure. The importance of the 380mm is more for bots than bugs, but the 380mm is necessary imo for the fortresses. Especially when going solo on Super Helldive
Unless I missed it you didn't talk about the other cool feature of stealth armor which is the radar on the map ping. So at the end when you say the only thing you're worried about now is enemies at extraction, you could have pinged it on the map and any bad guys in the area will show up. This is also handy for running towards your next point because you can ping ahead of you and make sure patrols aren't going to cross your path.
3:20 I feel like adding a bit of precision here : The only bit of luck I see regarding mortar emplacement, is how the mortars are spreaded in the camp. If you were talking about the eagle strike, there's no luck or random in it's function, it send bombs to explode a strip of land perpendicular to the direction vector you're "facing" at the moment of throwing. If the vector happen to be facing between 270°W and 359°N, the eagle will come from right to left. All the other values makes the eagle come from left to right.
I was talking about the position of the airstrike along with the position of the mortars will determine if you can take out the entire mortar emplacement with one airstrike. It can be done but it’s usually not worth the time it takes to line the strike up perfectly. Better to go with the KG, throw it in the middle, and move on
For my secondary I love taking the senator for stealth even before the buff, most secondaries have a reduced sound area on firing compared to primaries. Also the rounds reload part of it is convenient to finish off a enemy without wasting extra rounds in the mag while reloading
Yeah I like the Senator but the Grenade Pistol has more stopping power and I only really use my secondary when I'm in a situation where I need stopping power
You should try out the smoke instead of the 500kg and that can take the place of a lot of your plan to stun and run away. Then you can switch to the thermite grenades to take out heavies when you get into trouble or fabricators when you can't get to the front.
I like having the offensive capabilities of the KG rather than relying on a purely defensive stratagem but I’ve used the smoke and it can be useful too
I can’t imagine not taking the airstrike. It’s S tier and the only part of the loadout that is a must take. Strafing run is good, but not on the same level as the airstrike imo
@@tacetmort3m You are doing great so you don't need to change anything. 🤣 However, if you haven't tried the strafing run since the latest patch, it's really gone up several notches in usefulness. Worth testing out.
