Audie D is busy AF on the skins!! Technical player no doubt. Even in his sixties. He looks tired keeping up... but he is doing it! Glad I saw them years ago when the original band was together. Back in the late eighties.
You know it's an impossible position, but Mitch has the style of his own that works here. If he sounded too much like Jack Russell he be accused of being a mimic, and if he's too far away then it's another band. I think you got it right.
@@devorahacts kinda like when Ben and the Guys left Evanescence and created We are the Fallen, where 3/5 of that band were original Evanescence members and the group was actually pretty good
I saw him last night ,I like him that dude rocks out at 58 years old unreal . With all bands the original is the most beloved ,the creation of the music is magical but nevertheless its hard to keep it together with all the lifestyle pitfalls ! So with that in mind enjoy all the shows and be thankful we had and have this amazing music folks ,we rode it hard and put it away wet ! Mitch Malloy thanks for keeping it going ! You rock my friend !
Paved the road within actual musicians. They are stellar live. Played full zep relived tribute to zep in late 90's. Extraordinary within performance. Had own tables, dinner, drinks, the works, with the white approx 40' feet away. Bringing the stage to its fullest capabilities.
The original video of Great White doing this song was always one of my favorites. It was mainly the bands performance. I actually go back from time to time and watch. Killer fucking song!
I saw this band actually a few times when they were just starting out. Each time they were opening for some other band I went to see. But I was never disappointed when Great White was there to rock the show like this. Great musicians.
Saw these guys with Whitesnake at The Providence Civic Center 3rd row center in like 86-87. It was The Great Whitesnake Tour. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen to date and I’ve seen over 200 so far. Love these guys.
Man, I was a little over an hour away from you but I didn't know you were at the State Fair. Dang it! Much love, Tammie in Lexington!! Sounding and looking great as ever!
For everyone like me that heard this song when it was new and lived our teen years to this song, it’s just not the same. It rocks, but not like the real thing.
Mitch Malloy have you ever met Mitch Perry?? I saw where you had played at the Whiskey a go go. I know he plays there when he can. Another great musician, singer/ songwriter he is!
My boyfriend at the time that I lived with he and his brother were friends with Jack Russell they went to high school together at Lowell High School and I got to meet him one-on-one not with the band just because they're all friends I was so excited because especially if they were super hot at that time oh and I meant Lowell High School in Whittier LA County
It looks like it will take a little time for Mitch to connect more personally to the song, he didn't write it and obviously, after reading the comments, there is an outcry for Russell and Mitch knew that would happen. Being very respectful of that he played to the audience instead and showed everybody what he could do with the song, which was considerable. Give it time. It's not the same but in many respects... It's better. When he embraces what the songs mean to HIM personally and shows that openly, he will be accepted by the fan base because the songs mean so much to them. If you read this... Kudos Mitch. I have been a dedicated fan since 1987 (My sophomore year in High School) and I look forward to you finding your identity, and what they each mean to YOU in all of my favorite tracks. Find it man, your a pro, now you have to be part of it. Inspire us, you can obviously hit the notes, we want that tuning fork of earnesty now.
It was a good try.. but idk. I didn't feel it.. didn't believe it.. I think it's really hard to take a song like that, that means a lot to fans.. and expect them accept anything less than the original.. The new guy can definitely sing.. he just needs to sing something else
Sure, everyone knows this is Jack's song. But no GW show could happen without them playing it. This dude could front dozens of bands from that era, the way I see it he's a good choice
@@yeahright302 How can you call them a cover band, when the guy who started the band, plus two others who have been in there for over 30 years are up there. If any band is a cover band it's the guys Jack threw together.
Great job Mitch Malloy! Anyone that can hit the notes like Jack did is a helluva singer!!!
RIP Jack Russell as you see Jack's music lives on.
Let’s give some love to the drummer. That’s some seriously solid playing. Always enjoyed the drums on this song- listening and playing
Filthy on the kit. Great performance.
Totally agree! He rocked it!!
AMEN!
Kicked ass!!!

A Great White classic that's for sure and Mark Kendall can still rock on the guitar.
I met 'em in Russell, KS in 2003, and got my 1966 Melody Maker autographed, and photos with the band!! They were all so nice!! RIP, Jack ...
This song is a blast in the face. Can't replace Jack Russell but a great singer as well!

You know, the original band and the original video will forever be etched in me , but hats off to all these guys - it is very well done !!
Nothing like the original
Audie Desbrow, you are one solid, underrated drummer!! Way to bring it boys.
Saw them about a year and a half ago and they are still great. They are amazing at keeping the crowd engaged as well.

Mark Kendall still kicking ASS on guitar!
Yeah, he sounds terrific
Except for the fact that real guitar players don't hang their thumb over the top of the neck.

Mitch does a great job. Great story about his rock journey. RIP Jack.
That man's hair!!!!! That alone is rock
Im sorry but NOBODY will ever get the tone, timing or heart and soul of Great White songs like Jack and Mark Kendall had...PERIOD!!
I listen to this weekly in my car playlist and just cannot hear it wqith this voice, bummer. Russell is just got that unique voice
