- Legendary classic rock band, Great White, wraps up their 2018 Kentucky State Fair performance with the hit song "Once Bitten, Twice Shy." Great White is Mark Kendall, Michael Lardie, Audie Desbrow, Scott Snyder, and new lead singer, Mitch Malloy.

Absolutely, I agree with the observations so far. Their current singer's version of Great White's songs cannot compare with JR's presence, not even close to the band that used to rock.
Once Bitten was one of the most solid albums in 80's. A MUST HAVE!
I love that Mark plays all the guitar solos just as they were recorded. Even though I'm sure it is boring for him, the fans love it. I am a fan.
Actually, I prefer they vary the solos to how they feel that night! That's why you see them "live"...if you want studio version, get the fuken album...

I just bought the CD and DVD of this show because I want too see Mitch do BIG TIME.
I bought the first Album in FLA when I was there on vacation when I was 13. Been a fan ever since! Mark is one of my top 5 GOAT's on guitfiddle!

How did I not know Mitch Malloy was in Great White, let alone for 4 years?! Big fan of his debut solo album in 1992 as he has a great voice and the music was great too. As much as I wanted to love him performing with Great White here, it’s severely underwhelming only on his part. So bland almost like he was bored and lacked the energy for a rock show like that. The rest of the band, especially Mark, Audie, & Michael, sounded amazing as they always have. And as much as I always enjoyed Jack Russell’s voice including seeing him this past summer in Indiana in his own version of Great White, this is one of the very few instances were I believe a band and the singer everyone knew them by didn’t try to get back together again. Jack unfortunately isn’t really road worthy anymore physically. The same goes for Skid Row but for different reasons. They’re better off WITHOUT Sebastian Bach because of his attitude/personality and because the singer they’ve got now, Erik Grönwall, is amazing and has a good strong voice that can hit all the high notes that Sebastian can’t anymore.

Jack Russell sings so much better even at his age. I saw Jack Russell's Great White Band two years ago and they rocked. Great line up at a local venue. Up close and personal. He still has an awesome voice. He made an amazing come back. I don't like this singer he is arrogance. Jack is real down to earth. This front man reminds me of David Lee Roth who loves himself.

You know he was almost in Van Halen, before Gary Cherone? So, maybe you’re on to something. He has a good voice, but it doesn’t fit Great White. His personality also isn’t Great White. But, I won’t come down too hard in him. The band picked him and he did the best he could.

What the hell have I just listened to this isn’t the Great White from the 80’s I remember. This vocalist if you can call him that isn’t a patch on Jack. The song is a tone down from the original studio version which should make it easier for this guy to sing but he’s just not cutting it his phrasing is all over and he just isn’t singing with passion and it’s as if he doesn’t even know the lyrics and it’s certainly not a hard song to sing for god sake guys bring back Jack ASAP because this clown is ruining a bloody good band

Is it just me, or does this song seem flat somehow? It's lacking the punch of the original. I like both Mitch and the band, but it's just off.
I saw Ian Hunter rock the fuck out of this song just a few years ago, and rightly so seeing it's his song. Ian is the original. But yes, I also am a Jack Russel fan over a Great White fan.
I was a big Great White fan. This is not Great White. Mitch is a solid vocalist. He just don't fit the songs of Great White. This is on the verge of "cringe". Ever since they gave Jack Russell the boot. They've never been close to their glory days.
