    A few things:
    1. If you were using a 4k projector screen the image would look far better than your plain painted wall.
    2. Show the cinematic image with a 4k source not 1080p. Use an Nvidia Shield for 4k content as an example.
    3. Run HDMI through a receiver for 5.1 or higher surround sound for movies and games.

    One thing good, is that you did a projector Vs TV comparison. Projecting onto a plain wall also something, it shows the quality of Projector. You put the projector so low on the floor, still can get a nice picture. I got three low budget projector, I need to lift up and tilt at an angle to get a proper projection.

      I think HDMI 2.1-abled projectors are just being introduced to the market (specifically projectors that support 8k). And im not sure how the input lag would be on those new ones since gaming projectors are just fairly new to the market. Not to mention those that do have HDMI 2.1 cost thousands of dollars... which would make sense if you think how much a 300 inch OLED TV would cost 😂

    pixel shifting should never be advertised as 4K. its not the native 4K image from the source. Its basically a 1080p source upscaled to 4K.

      *"pixel shifting should never be advertised as 4K. its not the native 4K image from the source. Its basically a 1080p source upscaled to 4K."*
      No, that's not true.
      I used to believe the same way. But I realized that the only thing that matters is what a display ultimately _produces_ -- the output that can be measured. It doesn't matter _how_ that final output is realized.
      Think about a CRT. A CRT uses "pixel shifting" -- it has only one single pixel! It shifts that single pixel around the entire screen fast enough to display thousands or millions of pixels each frame. For that matter, technologies like LCD and DLP use different "tricks" to display brightness levels and colors.
      If a display is rated for 4K output resolution, all that matters is that the display actually outputs [4096/3840] x 2160 individual pixels. This can be measured by comparing a 4K test image to the display's output, and verifying that individual pixels of the test image are faithfully reproduced.
      I do think that a pixel-shifting display should be advertised as such, as it is part of the inherent display technology.

      @bricaaron3978 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fingsandstuff *"image can not be reproduced on a image sensor that is not 4k. "*
      You're right: It can't be produced *ON* an image sensor that is not 4K. But it _can_ be produced *BY* an image sensor that is not 4K. Just like you can take a ~20,000 x 2,000 pixel panoramic photo with a camera sensor that is only 4,000 x 2,000 pixels. How? By shifting the camera sensor (i.e. by rotating the camera).
      I've already explained enough to enable any reasonably intelligent individual to understand. But as they say, you can lead a horse to water, etc., etc...
