This wonderful man radiates humanity even from the depths of his health issues. This is how we humans are meant to live out our time. God bless the Big Yin. Love him to bits.

There will never be another Billy in my lifetime, not just to make me laugh but most of all be an absolute pleasure to listen to and watch his passage through life.

I remember not understanding old people but now I'm one of them. This shop is a great idea.

Every second of that was SO natural. Billy just makes people feel at ease right enough! Nice words from Eddie Reader at the end, you could tell she genuinely loves him 😊

Brings tears to my eyes to see this man wilt as he goes through his days with what may take him from us...yet he remains a light that flickers with memories and stories.....His existence has meant more than the fame he has, he will always be larger than life. Billy is a Scottish story of who we are, without apology. I am forever reminded of my days in and around Glasgow before I emigrated to Canada, now 43 years ago. I treasure them all, the struggles, the life we all had then, the laughter and reality of an amazing city...Glasgow, second to none....Billy puts meaning to this, but speaks of being a scot

Remember that when you have 2 make decissions in how you vote, how you treat old people yourself,

I know Billy is treated like a deity in Glasgow, but even so. Also Glasgow now is very different to what it was 43 years ago.

what a tremendous organisation the Men's Sheds association is. It is great to see the level of skill and talent here, but most of all, the great sense of camaraderie which these sheds offer.

It's nice that, even as the Parkinson's makes him ever more stiff and slow, his mind is still the fastest, most natural wit we've ever seen. .... and his Humanity is ALWAYS THERE. ... I definitely will NOT handle it well when Billy passes.

Its funny how much more fitter, and energetic older people are today, than in the past. I remember when i was a boy around 30 years ago, people in their sixties would already have walking sticks, going etremely deaf, etc etc.

Same question asked still in S Wales and the North of the miners…hence voting Labour always and swinging the No 10 vote often and the WAG always.

    "What're you making?"
"It's a dispatcher. We've got a lot of problems with grey squirrels round here."
    "You do?"
"Aye, but they're good for eating."
    "The greys?"
"Aye, they've got a nutty flavour to them."
Imagine you're in your shed and Billy Connolly comes in and YOU get to tell HIM a funny wee story.
