    Splitting a case, welding cranks, stabbing cams, building heads...no problem. BUT...ceramic coating scares the living shift out of me.

    I had my Burgundy Velvet Lincoln Nautilus ceramic coated about 7 months ago. It is gorgeous. Took my Amber Whiskey Freewheeler to just get it detailed in early December. They called me & told me that they were ceramic coating a car and had some leftover and did all the painted areas of my trike. Um, I didn't ask for that and don't have the money to pay for it. No, it's a courtesy as you're a great customer. Went to pick up my trike and OMG it was just amazing. There was so much depth to the paint. People stare at my trike wherever I ride it.

    I just use Adam’s spray ceramic. spray it down and use a little leaf blower and it’s done. The chrome wheels tho have a tending too after about 2 months.They have a paste kind of ceramic that’s even harder but haven’t invested in it yet. Definitely worth the buy for a bike.

    I have used this Product with great results! Easiest application ever attempted. Just don't let this sit on the pieces for too long...causes tons of issues. Apply up/down & left/right(no circles). Let sit for 1-3 min ONLY! Wipe with soft cloth and BAM!!!!

    You can do it. I did my 2014 Vulcan Vaquero. The candy orange paint looks immaculate after I did the ceramic coat. Bugs clean off easier as well. I still need to do the Road Glide. You are going to want to clay the paint down to get any contaminants off first. I also machine polished any swirl marks off the paint first. By the way IPA spray is literally Isopropyl Alcohol mixed with distilled water. You can make it yourself.

    Truthfully, I think ceramic coatings ( Si02) are slightly overrated. It's far more important to prep the surface (paint) by polishing to a high gloss and using a Si02 sealant like Technicians Choice Ceramic spray or P&S Beadmaker. Having said all that, I have used ceramic coatings on my Harley, BMW and Mercedes. Be prepared, ceramic coatings don't last forever and won't protect against scratches or stone chips.

    I had mine ceramic coated by our paint and body guy 2 weeks after I bought my bike. You will want to make sure your paint is flawless before you do it. It will lock in any swirls, dust, scratches, etc.
    Anyhow… it makes wiping or washing so much faster. And you won’t need to wax.
    Stuff I got was $350 and last 5 years.

    I used Avalon King on my Forester when I bought it new a little over 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I used it on both of my bikes as well and it is great for ease of cleanup and keeping it shiny and clean. My MT-07 with the cyan wheels is a nightmare to keep clean but after the ceramic coating they clean up with just clear water. I also recommend using their booster as well just to add more protection in an easy way.

    Not hard at all, but you need to know how to prepare your paint surface. Their car shampoos and prep spray are good, but you need to polish your paint before you apply the ceramic. I do quite alot of ceramic coatings. It's actually a good coating and exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended.

    • @derekdennis1389

    • @MrBuffaluffagus
      @MrBuffaluffagus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@derekdennis1389 I'd recommend Koch Chemie 6.01, Sonax Perfect Finish, Sonax 6-4, 3D One, or TurtleWax One and Done. Use with a dual action polisher and start with either a Buff and Shine URO Fiber Pad, Yellow Rupes Pad, White Lake Country Pad or Orange Lake Country Pad. Once you complete the polish portion use a prep spray such as Mothers CMX Prep Spray, Ethos Detox, or Gyeon Prep.

    What keeps the stuff from getting rock hard on the applicator?
    Sounds like you need a new cloth and sponge for every panel.

    • @ProfessionalMonkey
      @ProfessionalMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't harden that fast, but by the time you do a whole car I would say you will have "used up" a cloth. You get 4 so you'll have enough to use the whole bottle.

    • @JT_70
      @JT_70 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think adding additional drops to the applicator keeps it soft. The cloth applicator stays soft for the entire vehicle. Once you let the cloth dry it will get stiff. Application is pretty quick. You MUST wipe off the haze almost immediately. If it dries too long you will have a hard time getting the haze off.

    Hello Professional Monkey, I'd like to ask you a question. I plan on putting some patches on my jacket. A few flashes on the chest region and a winged cross on the back with the words "Godspeed".
    I just found out from "Demonsrow" that wearing a patch that says "Nomad" should be avoided. However he was referring to a large rocker style patch. I intend on wearing a small flash style patch over my heart because I personally like the name "Nomad". For various reasons I move around a lot so in essence I am a Nomad, just not in a club fashion. So I was curious if wearing a "Nomad" flash would be frowned upon.
    Demonsrow also noted that nothing about biker culture should be taken lightly which makes me wonder if I should avoid funny patches like one that says "These are my church clothes."
    Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this message.

    "no a big house with a nice yard" "dammit!!" lmao. if you like making bad decisions why didnt you get a Freightliner M2 106 with a 8.9L Cummins so you could then get a 40 Ft or so 5th wheel toy hauler.... you could even get a M2 that has alligator seats 👍👍😁. the 1 ton should haul a lot better with all that weight. last time you hinted that it was a bit on the sketchy side going to Sturgis. why didnt you get a dually ? too wide ? the stuff sounds good. the instructions is hilarious lol. you havent been making vids because you have been running around on your 131 havent you? you just too good for us now .. lol good vid
