Thanks for sharing. I was driving yesterday and my ABS light came on. I stopped at the dealer and they said not to worry my brakes still worked and maybe it was just a wheel sensor have to get it checked out but NOT at the dealer
Yep, your brakes will work fine. You could have a wheel bearing that is bad though. So, what happens, the bearing wears to a point and it touches the magnetic sensor and breaks the magnetic sensor. So, I would jack the car up and see if the wheel moves back and forth etc... excessively (more than 1/8") at the top/bottom, or front/back.
@@Kickinpony66 it’s a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe and I only have 17,000 miles on it. I was thinking just taking it to my mom and pop mechanic and have them take a look. The dealer was $175 just to LOOK!!
@ That’s usually the way it works. One of your sensors is going bad. The sensors are built into the wheel bearings, so you will have to replace a wheel bearing.
Honey, JEEP = Just Empty Every Pocket.

@@elmertheintern I'd definitely take it to a regular mechanic and not the dealership.
