  • For today's video I decided to go simple with a pop can melt. I ended up with about 21 ingots. So not too bad. Although I should have taken my time when poring, but I'm fine with them not being too pretty this time around.
    -Thanks for watching.

It would being interesting to know if you actually made any money doing this. Very inefficient way to process cans. Anyway it was still interesting to watch.

I'm saving up all the metal I melt so I haven't made any money off of it yet. Thanks for watching.

You never make money in the metal market turning tins into ingots - in fact you can never make money on metal turning ANY metal into ingots.
Metal is ALWAYS worth more in a proof form, ie in the form it comes out of the factory that made the item.
There however are 2 ways to make money melting metal into ingots.
The first is, like this guy is doing, to film yourself melting and put the footage on a creator site - however this way, you are making money from youtube/patreon/ect NOT out of the metal itself. If doing this, its usually better to simply hoard the ingots to show off to subscribers rather than put them on the scrapmans scales.
The second is to sell the ingots as ART, or to cast them into objects and sell those objects as ART. The key difference is, ART is sold through the ART market (so through places like ebay and etsy) at the value the buyer puts on it as a piece of art, which for a decent piece is MUCH more than the value of the actual metal. If you sell it on the METAL market, you simply are getting the value displayed on the scrapmans scales.
