I hope to see a full review of this and a intensive Battery test is a must, because there are some reviews that the previous model only last up to 2hours.
now imagine PX13 gets 5070/5070ti, 64gb option and 120hz screen, and perhaps vapor chamber (being wishful here) ... this would be one insane system and the best the professional and gaming worlds could combine! Heck, I would pay a top $ for this config!
I am very excited for this laptop with all its upgrades. I have Z13 with RTX460, and I absolutely love the device. It's by far the best Windows laptop I've owned - so powerful and portable. I tend to use it without the keyboard, mainly for Photoshop and 3D work. Two major weaknesses, though: 1. Only 16gb RAM, not always enough, and 2. The battery life is truly atrocious, I get 2 hours max, I always need to make sure I am plugged in. Speakers are tiny as well.
Thanks for touching on the pen. Virtually no other channels did. I'm eyeing this device for 3D scans for my 3D printing. Having an Einstar Pro HD or Creality Raptor X attached to this would be both portable and powerful enough to support the full scanning speed, plus touch-ups in Adobe Sculpt or Fusion 360 using the pen would be a great workflow.
Ben, thanks for covering the pen support...nobody else is mentioning it in their reviews. One problem with the previous Z13s was poor palm-rejection. Have you tested that at all? Keep up the great work! Sold my old Z13 w/4050 because of the i9/battery/palm rejection...this new model looks very compelling!
You're most welcome. Gotta keep my creative community informed on the important details. :) Ah, Great question! I'll have to test and address that in the future review of the ROG Flow Z13. Thanks!
I gotta know if Asus allows the new Z13 to run the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 at the max 120W for full performance. I know this will eat a 70Whr battery for lunch but still want to know how gimped the GPU performance is if it can't draw full wattage.
Nice review! I have always been a fan of Flow Z13. Love the upgrades and can't wait to see your performance test. As I am thinking about upgrading my Flow Z13 2022 to this.
Thanks for the review. Are you going to put your hands on the new Zephyrus g14 line? Especially, the video editing opportunities there. I just watched the comparisons between g14/2024 and MBP m4 pro on your channel and I believe that the new g14 could make a change in the final verdict between both of them.
Looking to replace my X13 2022 with this. I hope the Radeon 8060S can throttle down in power properly since there's no Mux chip to switch off the GPU completely.
any news on a flow X13 refresh? after almost 9 years with my current laptop thats the model i'm waiting for, unless someone else releases a compelling 2in1 with a potent current gen chip and gpu power in this ballpark. PX13 is the other option but its still very expensive, 60hz and ideally i'd like an rtx 5000 refresh there too now. it'll accompany for the next 8+ years after all.
Disappointing that they seem to have gone for a 2230 again for no reason :( That just limits our options and makes the cost of upgrading much larger. Still probably the best tablet on the market.
Fyi it goes up to 128g memory, you can allocate 96g vram GPU, whichi is insane! Even rtx 5090 comes with only 24g vram on laptop. You can run really huge model!
The product spec page only shows 32GB but then again it shows $9999 so it's not quite ready to launch. Just checked my local Asus webpage. Hope to get at least the 64GB one to run ComfyUI using ROCm WSL.
Yes, since it's not a final production model I am unable to post about the performance. Can't wait to get the final production model for testing in the future.
@@nijatismayilov5406 By mid range as in the 1200-1700$ price range. Not really an Asus fan so I don't know which Zephyrus you're referring to, as some of them can go as high as having a 4090 in them. Basically, it's as powerful as a traditional gaming laptop with the same specs. If your Zephyrus has a 4050, 16gb of ram and same processor, then they should be equal in term of performances.
Lol! ah, good point. I meant it as the biggest NEWS, or biggest game changer. The anticipated capabilities of this device are something to be reckoned with. :)

Just bought a PZ13, thinking about returning and waiting for this...

This versus the ProArt PX13. Definitely interested in how they stack up for photo editing.

When can we expect benchmarks ?
Hi! Is the 1.23KG of the 2025 version including keyboard? How much is the device alone?
no egpu like the previous?
I think you meant dGPU. You could hook up an eGPU tho.
This means the current gen is about the same performance as the last gen?

Im very curious to see battery life on this
I wanna see its video editing performance especially in premiere
looks like an upgrade to that surface laptop studio 2. Would you happen to know if the Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2 is compatible with this device?
Price? Release in Europe when?
It's at least 2100£ if that helps
The price for this pc is expensive because it does not include extending GPU.
Can't say I've seen Philips screws on laptop before
What about xg mobile port!
Doesn't need it anymore. New xg mobile devices will be thunderbolt 5 usbc starting with the 5090
I thought they may have switched to thunderbolt 4
@Mitch_1991 this laptop doesn't have any thunderbolt 5 or USB 5!
Only two usb 4, and this isn't Goog for Connect Egpu
