I show you what is in my rucksack, the essential items I take to a music festival, the tent I use to camp, my preferred sleeping bag and sleeping mat, my festival cooking kit and all the other camping and festival essentials. I also give you lots of hints and tips on how to get the best out of your festival camping kit.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but this is seriously the best festival packing guide I've ever seen. Not focused on putting up a fashion show and beeing reckless and obnoxiously intoxicated. Instead you show that it's possible to have a wonderful time while still being environmentally consious and taking care of your body. Thank you!

@@FinnTheInfinncible I do bar work at festivals, and i agree with Selina's comment. I overpacked at Isle of Wight festival this year, and I underpacked at the same festival last year. I got a 4 person tent as a 2 person was too small (again im an overpacker lol)

Best festival packing guide on TH-cam. All of the others I've watched fill the whole video with their outfits and makeup crap. What I need is what CAMPING ESSENTIALS to take! Love all the little handy items! Hoping to go to vfest next yr covid dependent....I'll look out for some of these

Pleasure! Just remember to tip them into a bin before butting them on in the morning. I forgot once....early morning 5am wee....shoved my foot into a welly.....caused a huge puff of powder and covered myself in white!

Oh my friend I feel your pain! I have a Glastonbury ticket from 2019 that has been rolled over again....my tent is gathering dust! One day we will be back in muddy fields dancing like nobody is watching :)

Thank you for showing me the proper way to put a rucksack on!! At isle of wight Festival I was pretty much deadlifting my rucksack by putting it on while sitting down and then squatting 🤣

Hi finn have you been lucky enough to secure a glasto ticket for 2024? Also, an underrated item is a disposable dehumidifier for the tent. Makes such a difference.

@@FinnTheInfinncible cool. Im still 45 in 2022 as my 46th bday is after the festival :). A former neighbour went to Glastonbury at 62 lol 😂.
Never too old for Glastonury! One year, l camped next to 2 chaps that were in their 70s and had been attending since their early 20s!
I have watched so many festival packing videos ready for my first download festival. They just seem so unrealistic (how do they carry all that) This is perfect, now I just need a kitchen sink.

@@FinnTheInfinncible Heavy metal! Old school metal stuff is kind of before my time too and I don't really bother with it. I've been to festivals before and Wacken 2015 was my absolute favourite. Worst weather I've experienced ever but still amazing. Tbf I do like electronic music too and I love it when fused with metal. But lighter rock just doesn't cut it for me.
Ah l see! I like a bit of metal, sae Metallica a while back, iron maiden, Hawkwind.... I have a. Very eclectic taste!
@@FinnTheInfinncible Yes I remember you saying you like a bit of old school metal! I'll be seeing Jinjer and Devin Townsend near the end of the year but they're just gigs rather than festivals. I had bad experiences at Wacken whilst waiting to transition and I haven't been to a festival since.

Being a soldier, a good alternative to your pillow would be your daysack, just use that haha, and call your "big rucksack" a bergen ;)
Lol yes that's what l used to do for a pillow but as lve got older, it's nice to ha e some luxury at a festival!

You can indeed get raincoat overalls, the trouble is, it would make going to the toilet a challenge! I wore a onesie one year....never again!

how did the solar powered charger work?
Really well, considering how much l use it. I hung it off my rucksack walking around and it trickle charged, perhaps l should review it!

🤣 yeah I do love a gadget! Mind you, now with Fred , camping is very different, it no longer fits in a ruck sack, we need a car and a roof box!
