- We are finally here with some OFFICIAL BT-16 gameplay and what's even better today is that we are joined by a very special guest and a huge player in our Digimon community in Risu the Squirrel! Great time commentating with one of the games greatest and loved figures. But back to the match itself, we were at our first major locals event at Sully's Abode with our Evo Cup kicking off. Definitely some great matches in store this week as we all delve into BT-16 and start prepping for Regionals! Here we have Justin playing his trusted Royal Knights deck and Ante making a comeback on the channel with Rapidmon Vaccine

18:02 @Risu the reason for the aggro vs the royal knights matchup, its basically like a timer until you lose, except you have a little bit of wiggle room because depending on what knights they have under drasil forces them to omni sooner than later, my plan was to wittle him down to 1 and then show the pillow in the back to force either him dropping omni or me just getting it

5:53 How do you place the protoform? This is a legitimate question because i see people do this all the time and I do not understand if i am reading the eff wrong or if no one is reading the card at all.
[Main] 1 of your Digimon without [X Antibody] in its digivolution cards may digivolve into a Digimon card with the [X Antibody] trait in your hand with the digivolution cost reduced by 1. If it did, place this card as its bottom digivolution card.
The keyword is "If". Because nothing was digivolved you can not place the card under as a bottom evolution card. This is specifically to prevent plays like this where you play a magna to recover then place under Proto so when its removed you recover again. Which means using the card without a valid digivolve target will trash the option since nothing was digivolved. Unless i am not reading this eff correctly and you can actually just place this card no matter what and the if clause at the end is actually just optional.

Should've just played the Gankoo instead of another early Omni. That way you have a blocker and you clear the ACE, and you stall long enough for your Omni turn to be more favorable...

I do think the Protoform thing in Game 1 was game changing. I definitely think the RK player would have had the reigns on the game without it.
It absolutely was, I knew the ruling prior from EX05 / nats meta but in the moment I only read the card halfway in my hand and stopped at 'you may digivolve..' and didnt read the rest of the effect..
I feel super bad because it was a huge swing turn for me, since at the time I lacked a rapidX in hand
@@antwonbilon2281 Stuff happens, don’t worry. I remember I won my local Store Champ tourney with RK. Turned out I was playing 51 cards, I somehow didn’t realize I put in one too many Sistermon’s in.

45 minutes for a bo3 is too little time, almost every game ends in a Tie, and I play Looga otk
Y’all are so off about bt16 Ukkomon. I would have the say the games I saw Ukkomon in my opening hand going 1st I have won 90% of those games. You are so far ahead of your opponent in advantage it’s not even funny. Digivolving for 1 memory is a joke and if they don’t deal with it you just keep on gaining advantage.
SORRY for the cheating with protoform.. I only read half the card.. and saw 'you may evolve' and was like oh sick this is broken oops!!
Also I ended up cutting it after today since its not very good anyways, but on paper RapidX only requires Rapid or X-antibody
