  • CFMoto has again indicated it is very serious about making a mark in the Australian bike market, by expanding categories yet again. Indeed, the 300SR represents the brand’s first step into the fully faired sports bike arena.
It comes as part of a range of models that are already under the brand’s banner locally with more rumoured to come.
The 300SR styling is up to date and sophisticated and appointments pretty remarkable at the rideaway price of $5790.

The shop I work for has been selling CF moto ATV's and UTV's for a few years and overall they've been very good and reliable. We're supposed to be getting our first shipment of motorcycles in and this is one of the models, so I've been watching reviews to see what to expect. A lot of people are down on the chinese bikes, but i'm old enough to remember when people were just as down on the japanese. Understand also that many parts for japan's bike production are farmed out to chinese companies as well, including licensed engines and whole bikes for their own market.
I'm willing to give CF moto's bikes a chance, so far the specs on the bikes, especially suspensions are good, and in our new gas price panic i'm feeling this should be a good year for bike sales.
Thanks for this review as it's showed me the 300 is a really good bike for the area I'm in.

Nice one Snaggy. Pretty little bike that backs it up. Sounds like new riders would love it at that price point.....

Saw one of these when i was shopping for the 300nk. Damn. The quality of workmanship on this bike is sexy. The colours, the added CNC levers and foot pegs. Its cheap, yes it may not be made of parts as quality as other brands but for someone on their LAMS and needing exp but not wanting little 250s that are 4-10yrs old, this is great for the consumer market. Now they have the 650GT. That is an awesome setup for long distance commuters. Yes its a bit heavy but if u look at the specs, the engine is the same power as an MT07 however the torque range is set higher than the MT07. Around 4k-7k. So its more of a highway speeder or low gear get up. Pretty hectic.

I have one and have done 6500kms since November and no problems at all it’s my first bike and it’s great fun. After about 3000kms they free up nicely. As you say you not going to break any land speed records but it gets you down the road

Does it keep up well on the motorway? Top speed?

@@jaredshelton4718 yeh it does 110 easy. I think top speed is something around 160kmph. Just a good little bike to have a bit of fun on. Your not going to brake any land speed records but they get along just fine

The CFMOTO range will get a whole lot better than we expect. In time, they will be on par with the Japanese quality & will still be cheaper. Thanks for your short review around the lovely peninsula. Heaps more twisty roads around there. CFMoto assemble KTMs for them too.

There are not many accessories, plug-and-play for this model. I am so sad since I have got one on my own.
