Renny Harlin celebrates the 30th anniversary of Cliffhanger | Forbidden Worlds Film Festival 2023

Coming from Ancient Rome (or a film set in Bulgaria), director Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2: Die Harder, Deep Blue Sea) sent Forbidden Worlds Film Festival this wonderful introduction recollecting his memories of making Cliffhanger on the day it first premiered at Cannes 30 years ago.
Covering everything from Stallone's initial fear of heights to achieving a Guinness World Record for doing one of the most dangerous stunts of all time, this intro is a wonderful treat for action fans!

Awesome film. But why the f*ck did Sly sign up for a film called Cliffhanger if he was afraid of heights?

Bit late with this, but basically Sly's career had kinda hit a rough spot and he needed to star in a serious action flick to kickstart it again. He agreed to anything Renny proposed as he believed in his skills after Die Hard 2.
