Had a psp that wasn’t reading discs and one that had a broken screen but would read discs. Did the swap and it worked like a charm. Thanks. You earned a subscriber today.
Really great tutorial! I feel confident to switch out both of my 2000s now and may get new faceplate for my silver one as it’s previous owner never put a screen protector on it 🙄
Great tutorial! Thanks! I only had problems to adjust the gasket on the new screen (maybe the replacement I got was a little bit smaller??) As a turnaround I separated the metal bar on the lower part to adjust the gasket correctly, and then I placed the metal bar on top again, but I would otherwise recommend to place the gasket first and then the metal bar.
A family member gave me a psp 2000 years ago but it alreadu had cracks in the screen in the corners but later on it looked like moisture behind the screen and it gave dark stains and there are a few lines through the screen and bc of that it looks like parts of the screen are duplicated so it shows the same piece 2 or 3 times next to eachoter, it's really weird but idk how to repair it and i don't have equipment for it and idk how to get parts (lcd screen) either.
Where did you purchase your screen? I have been looking in Aliexpress and there are tons of bad reviews and seems like is a gamble getting a good screen or not.
A wide metal bar popped off my PSP-2000 in the middle of removing the screen... any idea what that is? It was on the top of the unit, possibly some kind of brace for the LCD. I can't tell if it's part of the system or the screen! Ack!
I did everything exactly on this video and triple checked everything but my I don't get a display it just lights up the screen but stays black I can hear everything but not see anything can you help?

is there lcd other than the original one that can replace it ? i don't like the picture from the original one
Is it bad to touch the ribbon cables? Is it hard to plug them back in?
Same problem! I poured alcohol on it and as a remedy, I kept it in warm air
