  • One of my patients this week has frozen shoulder but is on the downhill side and it's thawing out. So the pain is less but the range it still limited. If you're like my patient where there is significant muscle guarding as part of the frozen shoulder issue, and you have less pain than previous then aiming for range through band resistance may help.
Focusing on the 3 important movements first in supine is a good way to start improving more range as well as tackle the neuromuscular guarding component of frozen shoulder.
    1. Flexion (Supine - Band)
    2. Abduction (Supine - Band)
    3. External Rotation (Supine - Band)

Hello from Sydney! I’m 51 & just woke up w shoulder impingement, tear and super painful bursitis. Been doing physio therapy for 6 wks now & still painful. Due to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2 wks time hoping to avoid surgery. I’m so curious how is your shoulder after your surgery? Have you fully recovered and no more pain pls? I hope to hear from you coz I need to be hopeful. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼😊

What if they have pain with any sort of resisted shoulder flexion (i.e using a band to perform shoulder flexion)? How would you then help improve ROM?

MY SHOULDER COMES OFF THE GROUND WHEN MY HAND COMES DOWN AND FORWARD Rather than up and back whilst lying downn with the "external rotation supine exercise?"
.. is that normal for these this type injury ?

Excellent video! Not related to this video, but I want to send a special thank you for the awesome video you published about lumbar spine. I have been adding those exercises for a few weeks now and my back feels so much better. I bought a bosu ball to imitate the exercises precisely. Huge improvement in my back flexion/extension! Thank you!!! I am very grateful!
