Elderly people are a telemarketer's wet dream. Old people are often lonely, just want a friendly person to talk to and yes trusting. I used to work for a certain newspaper's telemarketing office and this one salesperson raked in the commissions and it was mostly from duping the elderly into auto renewed subscriptions

It happens a lot more than you think. I used to work in a bank at a call center. I remember one younger lady called in on an older woman's account. For verification purposes the younger woman's responses didn't make sense, so I asked for her to put the older woman, the account owner, on the phone. When I tell you, this older lady had no idea what was going on or where she was, but yet this younger woman was calling in on her behalf to make changes on her account. There are some predatory people out there. They must think that their predatory behavior will never come back around.

I once lived in the servants quarters of wealthy homes in a large Canadian city. One multi-millionaire (he owned many clothing stores) got a new high-end car every year. I thought 'Yeah, that's nice if you can afford it ...'. Then he explained his rationale ... in the first year of ownership, a car depreciates 15%, in the second it is 30% ... so after two years you have a car that's worth half what you paid, hence he got a new one every year. I won't say anything else about these people ... but I'll quote Ann Landers ...'If you have children and don't do a good job, then nothing else matters'. They didn't. Their constant ultra-consumption and flamboyant ways do not mesh with good nurturing.

So, she's gonna be sent to jail at the end of February this year? I wonder if some kind of a ''prison reality show'' exists, like the ''Real Inmates'' or smth. like that. Probably, Ms. Shah could have become a star in such TV show. Ah, with a last name like that she could have bought the famous Shazam app and rebrand it as ''Shah-zam''.

I’m your biggest fan Dr. Grande. Been here since the beginning! The thumbnail is top notch.
Do you think you’d have enough information to speculate about Bryan Kohberger’s possible personality traits? Perhaps compare what we know to the dark triad? I immediately got incel vibes from the crime scene, victim type, and context. I keep seeing people latch onto some sort of drug related revenge killing which makes zero sense to me; even before he was named as the suspect.
He seemed to have a mix of organized and disorganized characteristics with the crime scene and what we know about him personally, but leans toward the “organized” type in my mind. Are offenders who appear more organized more likely to reoffend? Does that indicate a budding serial killer? He seems like he was calm during the murders but kinda lost it afterword, leaving the sheath and driving back and forth seemingly frantic, not knowing what to do.
Love you Doc, thank you for educating and entertaining us!

I hope Shah is held to the monetary part of her shah-sentence: "Shah was also ordered to forfeit $6.5 million, make restitution of $6.64 million, surrender 30 luxury items, 78 counterfeit luxury items". So often the victims receive just pennies on the dollars of their losses.

TMZ once did a whiteboard workup of all the Real Wives in all the series. I think 75% declared Bankruptcy after the series. The RH of OC were the most broke with Armstrong not even able to cover dinner out or gas in their Rolls Royce

3 years in prison for bilking a vulnerable population out of 6.5 million?!! For that population, that money would have been obtained with effort and used for necessities. For Jen, it was squandered on flash and luxury. 6.5 years was the very least that was reasonable, and likely to provide actual punishment. I would have imposed more!

The greed involved in so many of these cases is amazing. Her husband was making a half million and that wasn’t enough, she had to scam people.

Thanks doc for another terrific analysis! Could you maybe do an analysis in the future on why female celebrities and some older non-famous women get fillers in their faces/lips once they hit 40+ years old? They ALL look the same, and they ALL look fake and unattractive. We all know this. So have these ladies just not gotten the memo yet? Why do they do it? All we hear about in the media, especially from women, is that loving yourself and not caring what others think is the most important thing. Authenticity, acceptance and so on. Then all these hypocrites inject themselves with gunk until they look like slimy sea creatures near the end of their lives. Oh, and they all have to show their boobs, too (which are always fake) What's the disconnect?! Gwen Stefani comes to mind, too. A once beautiful woman now looks like EVERY OTHER woman in Hollywood- skanky, trashy and puffy. Men are not the ones demanding women do these crazy things to their bodies and faces. Men are not demanding women walk around looking like hookers. At least real men aren't. So why do these women do this to THEMSELVES? I would love it if you could talk about this. Thank you for your consideration!

Good morning Dr Grande, interesting analysis. I have not ever watched the Housewifes of. What Jen did is almost unforgivable. If Jen had never appeared on Housewifes the Fed would not have been interested in her. Become famous and you put a bullseye on yourself.
