- Hello everyone! This week I sang Think Of Me from Phantom of the Opera with Jonathan Young!
These days it’s rare that I sing a song so outside my comfort zone but I guess I was feeling like a masochist or something when I decided to work on this. As much as I tried to be a classical singer at 15, I caught the theater-kid-bug over the opera-student-plague and haven’t sung classical songs more than a handful of times from way back in my competing days. I can only “fake it til I make it” so far, so please consider my take on Think Of Me to be the equivalent of trying to make Christine Daae a Disney Princess.

There’s an interesting full circle for me as a few years ago I found Jon, later found Caleb through collabs, then found Anna through him. It’s just a fun TH-cam network I always enjoy!

Anna quit putting doubts on yourself. This is no joke considered one of the hardest songs to sing up even for those classically trained operatically in soprano. That being said you did incredibly well on this cover and again do not be so hard on yourself. This is what singers call a "voice breaker". Done incorrectly you can literally end your career. You did incredible though. Bravo. *applauds*

as a diehard fan of Phantom, you did this cover very well. It actually gave me chills while listening to it. I wouldn't expect soaring high notes from anyone other than an opera singer, but I've no complaint about this cover.

In 2006 as a freshman, my high school band was invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Broadway show that was chosen to be seen for sure was the Phantom of the Opera.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Best part about it though... senior year, our band director chose Phantom of the Opera to play for marching band as we were the last class who went to New York. Absolutely loved it.
