      @@boobookins8156 yes. The air they're breathing this a mixture consisting of high amounts of hydrogen to prevent them from getting bubbles in their blood.

    A very special breed of people who do this job. I have just read two saturation diving novels called 'Salvamar'. Got them off Amazon. Very cool reads and hair raising stories.

      I just discovered saturation diving yesterday, and I'm wishing I'd gotten into diving, at 20 when I didn't know what to do with myself. This looks amazing.

      @@BowedWings yeah, but being a truck driver, you can pull over and get out and stretch. And you don't have to look at the same people all day for what...two or three weeks? Then you have to decompress. I'd get restless.

      Is there an age limit do start towards this career? I am a recreational diver, but I have never done any comercial diving. I am 38 by the way.

      @@spartanGB Hi Andrei, in commercial diving there is no age limit but there is yearly diving medical & commercial diving course, you can do it any of these places singapore, Australia, UK, Canada, France, South Africa, fee is around 5000USD-7000USD depends where you chose.

      Can be much worse. Imagine a door of a docking unit isn’t closed right. So the pressure difference makes a literal spaghetti out of your body once it is opened. Happened a couple times.
      It isn’t as much of a horror for the spaghettified ones (they die instantly) - more of a nightmare for those that had to clean afterwards.

      There is some evidence of long term cumulative reduction in lung function in saturation divers.
