I am proud of you I can see how my little child has grown up and achieved many things, not just in career but in personality to, becoming an independent and wise person. Love you always.
Cool video dude. Keep up the good work! Nice to see the school and the teachers. Im also living in fagerstrand for 4 months doing the airdiver course atm!
Love the video! I have a commercial diving license, but not sat! Currently working for TFMC as a diving engineer with sat dive planning. (Just started, and really love it)
What’s the best way to go about affording the appropriate training courses as it seems very expensive. Also what would be your recommendation on courses to enter the industry as it’s an industry that I’ve been interested in for many years but always thought it was too expensive to even get the training etc.
That was all most interesting and well presented. I remember working on North Sea drilling rigs in the late 1970s. The divers often had time on their hands and would run the entertainment movie projector. They all seemed quite deaf for some reason and the films were at maximum volume! 😁
Hey Buddy! I am French. Your road trip in Royal Enfield: you are not going towards "Tooloo" but Toulon!!! You can still learn French 😂😂😂 Thank you very much for your amazing video! I learned a lot as a student and began a commercial diving course. I love motorcycles as well. I rented a Royal Enfield in the Himalayas a few years ago.
Hello buddy. I just started comercial diving course 2 weeks ago. Thank you for your insight. I am scuba diver and a free diver as well. I am interested by saturation course too. I am taking my training in Spanish at Panama City with PRO DIVERS and SCUBA PANAMA.
Hi there. I am glad that I found your page. I am well aware of what it takes to be a Saturation diver. I was wondering where are you working now and how is the Job market My name is Dirk and I would love to stay in touch with you as we seem to have the same interest.
Diving is how I found your channel to begin with! Congratulations on your certification as a sat diver. I hope that you share move of your diving videos to go along with your bike travel videos.
That was my dream since I was a kid, but then a marriage at early age, kids, etc. And I am now living a life with a woman I have nothing in common: she hates sports while I love sports, she hates water and can’t swim while water and diving are everything to me, she hates the country side while I hate living in big cities…. While I was watching your video, I just saw my life how I had imagined it before knowing her and her becoming pregnant thus the marriage.. good luck to you. Live your dream the fullest! Also, you were very lucky to go through the INPP, most of their personnel used to work for the Comex and are amongst the best in the world in this field.
Question to any commercial divers out there. Is there a pre requisit to doing a commercial diving course / working as a commercial diver? I am already a recreational padi diver (Dive master). But do i need to learn "on land" welding or construction first?

@@ian-atgdo you say that with experience? A lot of the commercial divers Ive spoken too say they love every minute of it. Not to mention it is a very necessary job, someone has to do it.
@@tobybeggs8676 I am a diver, but not a commercial diver. But I have friends who are in the industry and nobody ever recommends it. All I hear is that jobs are hard to come by, salaries low and the work is very dangerous. The thing is that many people will never admit to a poor choice they made in career, so they will try to make it sounds they always wanted it. But objectively this job is not good and wickedly dangerous. Not to mention how hard it is to get into it.
You need alot off balls to do this job I tried a course back in the early 90s in Exmouth Devon and lasted about a week into the course as I was just not up to diving plus I suffered from Costa phobia and also the school was closed down in the end by health and safety executive over student dying on the course and that was a Level 3 course you could only dive down to 150 feet not saturation diving which is completely different
I hope you are also ready for the stress of long periods of unemployment, breakups of relationships, long periods of boredom plus the higher than average suicide rate amongst pro divers. I was a air and sat diver for 20 years and and I knew and knew of at least 12 pro divers who ended their own lives. They don't tell you that at the schools do they! Also diving offshore is banned in Norway but they still train there..? Hippocracy or what?
@@ian-atg This was common knowledge amongst most pro divers in the 80's, 90's and even into this century, the last one I heard of was a Norwegian ex diver I worked with as an inspection engineer who killed himself around 2015. What experience did u have before taking the diving course?
Is it difficult to find a job after graduating ? And where do you apply if one is considering oil and gas industry
Do you have to buy all you’re equipment before going or does the course supply you while your there

What would be the max age someone could be to reasonable have a career change into commercial diving.....and get employment.
They top it at 30 I hear. It is not a good career not is it fun. If money is the incentive there are jobs that pay very well and don’t kill you.
