- In today's video we'll be taking a look at Exo Terra's exciting new Monsoon SOLO II and the Monsoon MULTI II programmable misting systems! After that I'll be introducing you to my unnamed female Tokay gecko (Gekko gecko) as we introduce her to Tiki's enclosure and witness wether they pair up or not!

Pairing tokays is definitely a delicate process, given the fact that compatibility is an actual thing you need to take into account with this and several other reptile species.

I always wanted to get a female for the male I had, but I've heard of some horror stories and seen some pretty horrific photos of tokays with huge chunks of skin missing with exposed flesh beneath. Fingers crossed these two get along! My male was especially aggressive though, so I especially cautious. Tiki is so chill in comparison!

I have two of the 2 gallon misters now for 5 years if not more and work like day 1!! Used with Orchids and one in with my 8 foot tall vivarium with a red Iguana and 3 20 plus year old Brazilian Red Foot Tortoises. I like. Tokay are wild man but LOVE them. Beautiful. Name her Vara means Power in Latvian. :-) lol Hooligans.. Name her Huligana. Gotta get my Sony night vision camera out again.

How about Moana, Hula or Lilo for the female tokay? Goes with Tiki :) also, you could try putting Tiki into her enclosure so that he feels less territorial!
Thank you for the suggestions! Tiki’s late mate’s (mother of the tokay twins) name was Moana! She unfortunately passed after suffering a deadly seizure from a calcium shock summer of 2019. It was truly devastating. This is why the occasion is so special! Tiki has found love gecko again 😉.

i like the amount of sound the mister make's but the amount of water it could hold doesnt do it for me i have a 30Liter mister and i have to fil it 1.5 week. with something like this is almost every other day you have to fill it

I’ve made the decision to get a smaller locale of Asian water instead of a cbb pair of prasinus I’m just gonna live vicariously through you until I can get my green tree monitors.
Absurdly priced compared to the MistKing - which is completely modularly expandable and infinite accessories.
Edit: Just noticed the reservoir isn't opaque. Very easy to get mouldy water with transparent reservoirs.
So I have my monsoon solo hooked up to my zoomed timer outlet. I didn’t want the mister to come on at night time, and make the enclosure cooler. So when my lights come on, so does my mister.

Just picked up a monsoon rs400 at a tagsale and an empty 18x18x24 zoo med for 40 bucks! Cant beat that price with a stick!! My question is, will this monsoon support 4 nozzles? Would like to use it in 2 vivs. I know i could use 1 nozzle in each but hoping ot can do 4 nozzles. Any idea?

Not sure if you will see this but I recently got the solo 2 monsoon to trial on my chahoua called woody. I also have a female tokay called dotty, male green eyed forest smithii gecko called corky (tokays cousin) 2 basilisks Ringo and Dino (deeno) and a frilled dragon called Stan that I mist by hand at the moment. I have my tokay in a 60cm wide x45cmx90 high and my forest gecko in a 90x45x90 (the big exo) my frilled is in a 5ft wide by 6ft high and basilisks in a 4ft wide by 5 ft high would you rate the multi enough for me to buy more or would I be better going more heavy duty I.e mistking due to the size of some of my enclosures. I really like the solo 2 but not sure if a multi would be strong enough for what I need. Also one last thing what settings do you have yours timed too? I am currently going every 12h at 30 seconds im in England sorry for the life story lol!
