Clinton, I was lucky enough to find you in 2011. I followed your guidance by learning everything I could before I thought about getting horses. I volunteered at stables, rescues, learned frim vets and farriers. I attended 5 Walkabout Tours, attended the 1st Ranch Rally, Have all your training kits (Including very old ones). THEN I got my 1st horse. Your knowledge and training is invaluable to any horseman. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I love this guy. The girthing tip works miracles. It really gets the horse calm and relaxed with he's being cinched (I did it on with horse who was pretty aggressive when being saddled and after a few times, she didn't move an inch and kept her head low and relaxed at all times). It's amazing

Thank you Clinton! Great video. I saddle my horse untied as often as I can, and move his front end for respect. I didn't think to move his hind end while he is tied. It seems so obvious now. I try to be as detailed as possible in following your method, it is wonderful to get new details.

If a horse is light and responsive, crossties = a wreck!

OK. So if you have a pushy horse, how do you teach them to move away with one finger push? Tried that with our horse and he swung around knocking me away, which was fortunate as my head was barely out of range of his straight back kick. Being fond of life, I’m hesitant to risk a repeat which could end differently.

We use an exercise called Touch and Rub: Yield the Hindquarters. Clinton teaches it in detail in the Fundamentals Series - shop.downunderhorsemanship.com/product/fundamentals-series-digital-download/

Lots of people I know need to watch this:: a zillion times over..
Crossties suck.. and every barn ive been in has them.. even the "breakaway" type.. a horse can be hurt quicker than the breakaway crap breaks away.. and crossties in the barn aisles are even worse.. i don't give a shit that my horse "doesn't crosstie" ...people make such a big deal about crossties it makes me laugh.. and they take up the whole effing aisleway and gotta move so you can get thru,... Stupid..
