I worked for ford in 1998-2003. I got the privilege of driving a 2003 cobra brand new. I remember it revved so fast I could barely get it into 2nd before redline. Amazing car, you should keep it for a year like you did your vette.
There weren't a lot of convertible cobras made.
When I ran around VA, I knew a guy with an incredible '04 terminator convertible in orange. It sounded incredible every single time that he gapped my 'vette.
My ZY is one of 135 or some number of that. 😂They are a blast to drive... Mostly stock too.
This is still my dream car. One day I will own one. Owned 7 different gt models.

That ice box is not to keep car running cooler, it's to cool the intake temperature in order to get the most boost out your setup. Without ice in it, it will make less boost.

@@fast02gt You know what he is trying to say! If the intake charge is not as cool the computer will pull timing and it will make less boost. With ice the IAT’s are lower, air is denser and computer allows full timing and thusly makes more power

Terminators will always be special cars. They get a good amount of shade from people and even other mustang owners but it also gets respect. Love my 04 and I’ll never part with it.
Yes, all cobras came with the running horse. You did a great job with your research and presentation of the terminator cobra. Well done. I’d just add that the engine is not only hand built, but also factory built with forged internals which is why they are worth so much today.

It came with the Galloping Horse Emblem. Nothing against the Cobra Emblem, but the Horse filled up more of the empty space and looked better.
Man that huffy with the 6 speed shifter was also my first bike. I totally forgot about it until you showed it and it bought back so many memories. I remember the shield on the front, the colored accents, and the shifter was so cool. Thanks for keeping that bike to give me those memories

In 1986 Martin Aparijo signed my VHS copy of Rad at the traveling GT BMX freestyle show--I've also had the 80's BMX bike bug since then. Surprising how many car guys have bike collections too! Awesome episode!
The terminator Cobra is gaining a lot of value because people are turning them into a drag car, my cousin works for Ford all over the world I mentioned this to him and he said if you can keep it you will triple your money. I have a huge collection of gt and mongoose bikes

I was the owner of 2 brand new 2003 Cobras.
At the time, the first buyers had to order it sight unseen, and it took 9 months to arrive.
I paid MSRP 34,784 dollars. That was an insane price for a Mustang back in 2003.
If you plan on selling it, sell it as is...
If you plan on keeping, try and locate an original super charger, intercooler and related items.
Soon after I had my first one, people were swapping out for the Kenne Bell Super charger, so they are around.
The weak link is the IRS, and people were swapping them out for solid axles for drag racing.
I still have the Window Stickers, Drag Strip time slips and the STV color brochure that came with them.
My first trip down the strip, 3 weeks old, I was matched up with another 2003 Cobra. They actually did that on purpose. The other Cobra left his IRS axles in pieces at the lights.
They only came with the 6 speed, no automatics were manufactured.
The Snake on the front is stock, there wasn't a Mustang Horse.
The chrome wheels were an 800 options. I had the chrome on 1 and not the other.
The clutch on Cobra's is a leg buster. You couldn't sit at a light for over 2 minutes without putting it in neutral.
Both of mine were hardtops, but I think the ragtops would have a great value.

It’s WAS one of the best superchargers you could buy for a terminator but it’s old and inefficient compared to the newer tvs and whipple they have available for them. The older KB blowers heat soak real bad and don’t nearly make as much power as a newer tvs or whipple, especially on pump gas.
Keep that reservoir stocked with ice! Agree on the Whipple for it!

Romeo is the plant it was built at. Some ford eng were built at the Windsor plant. That's sn incredible car

My first bike was a Huffy BMX/16. It predates yours by a few years. Just a few.
Side skirts, mirrors and rear deck spoiler are also unique to the 03/04 terminators

Hey Craig love the car man! Just wanted to make sure you know your Cobra is "sonic blue" not mystichrome. You have arguably one of the most sought after colors. I'd buy it if it was a coupe!!
Check the voltage!!! Alternators are known to go bad and when they go BOOM, fuel pressure drops. I see it getting 27.5 or so being a vert.

Romeo was where the engine was made. Romeo Michigan is where ford used to build their engines. Started with engines for industrial equipment and lasted up till the Coyote 5.0. Closed at the end of '22 and moved shop down south or to Mexico.
Noticed the rear window open on the cobra during the garage walk thru- hopefully that got closed up before you left!
I grew up poor, and i had a Dyno Air, i loved that thing i busted my tail to hussle for $ for it. Many good memories and some very blurry wrecks and hazy rides back home!!

The engine was built at the Ford Romeo engine plant in Romeo Michigan. That’s where all the mod motors are made.
Checked your site and FYI, it is not a 10th Anniversary car. It is the 10th anniversary of the Cobra since 1993, but not something associated with a Sonic Blue conv.

Those tops are the same from cobras to baseline v6’s, all came with the heated glass & same materials same headliners

Hey Craig, I follow you on TH-cam and enjoy your content. I would definitely consider keeping the Mustang SVT Cobra. You will probably never find another one as nice and with low mileage. It would make a great addition to your 1990's collection. It is already 30 years old and will only go up in value. Love the blue and wish I could buy it. I drive a 2008 Corvette conv. LS3 six speed. I would like to know when you are going to buy that Ferrari?

Did you watch the video? The cobra is a 2003 which means it might not even be 20 years old yet lol. As far as value goes it will only go down. The pandemic inflated prices, but they are coming down again.

That's sonic blue. Mystichrome blue was in 2004 only. I own a 2004 terminator convertible also. I love mine you should keep it
