RIP Louie as a kid Life with Louie was so much better than Bobby's World with Howie Mandel! You played the most realistic respectful, affectionate but flawed mother to Zach Gallifinakis; twins. I feel bad for not appreciating Louie more prior to this moment... Rest in Peace say hi to Meatloaf!
SAME!! I am SO SAD!! I feel almost like my Mom died again because I loved Baskets and Christine so much!! In true Louie comedic fashion, I can imagine him getting to The Pearly Gates, seeing Meatloaf standing there & Louie saying, "Jesus! Seriously? Meatloaf again?" LOL. I WISH I'd known he had cancer! I would've tried everything to get him a personal letter from me.
@@bluecord85 pretty sure you don’t know what you’re talking about, he had a cartoon show, stand ups (maybe not so much) and he was a host to a TV game show. I don’t know what you mean by he was underrated
His role in Baskets is brilliant. Even down to the characteristical micro-expressions, like intonation and hand gestures, he maintains a seamless continuity in his comedic identity. Had no idea he could act like that...
I don't have any issues with people being overweight for the most part, but when it's someone I love like Louie, I just want him to be as healthy as he can be to live as long as he'd like to.
He has said that being overweight is a struggle he has not been able to overcome. He overcame addictions to gambling, smoking, but overeating has been harder. He wrote about it in one of his books. Read his books they are funny but very sweet as well .
Man, I couldn't believe my eyes! I religiously watched his animated show when I was growing up. The moment he switched to the voices he used in the cartoon, the nostalgia just overran me. His dad was always my favourite character!
If you like this then get ready to go down the wormhole. Look up his other interviews, This is Not Happening story, and him channeling his mom in the show Baskets.
Same. As a kid, my cousins would ask me to "say it". So I would go through the goldfish scene. Girl: Hey Louie, what do you feed your goldfish? Louie: You know, donuts, cheesecake. I'M SERIOUS!
When he's quoting himself as a kid, and quoting his dad in arguments, I can hear those character voices he did in "Life with Louie", the animated series. He was one of the greats.
Louie was peforming at The Plaza in Las Vegas at the Fremont/Main St Comedy Louge. Went to see him in August 2014. Funniest humor I've seen. 90 minute show. Laughed and couldn't help saying. Oh no the whole time. Best Time.
Such a loss; he was such a good guy and so funny, his stories about family could make you laugh and cry which is the ultimate compliment to his humanity and his professionalism. He truly will be missed.
the one joke has always stuck with me about louie's dad, they're in the car and his dad notices a group of people, a family, or whatever, "look at them" he says in a real sarcastic disapproving way. i know so many people like that, pure americana.
I'm 35 and just started baskets a few days ago ... I grew up knowing this man(louis) but never really got to know him... I'm so glad I can do a deep dive and just be so grateful and impressed at this point in life
Man, he really, had Conan laughing hard! Man, Louie was so, great in Baskets'. That show was brilliant and should have been on longer. We get crap shows that stay on for decades and yet it seem's like really, brilliantly written and 'off the cuff' type shows seem to get only a couple. Not fair! RIP Louie, Louie! ;)
Absolutely love Louie. Wish I remembered where I first saw him, but I'm sure it was when Comedy Central was just starting and they had Short Attention Span Theater with Jon Stewart and Stand-up, Stand-up with Wally Collins and they'd show snippets of routines. Absolutely love him.
He was charm to watch reminded me of my childhood my father was always right no matter what you knew he was so under rated as a comic genius a little John winters with a little rich little
2:25 The way he laughs through gritted teeth for like 5 seconds straight and then goes “Now tell me...” only gives further evidence that Conan’s an Irish Mafia Boss.
Love this guy's timing. It's a surprise to realise he's American since he has a very British vaudevillian style in the way he runs his lines in contrast to the more aggressive timing and punctuation of Bill Burr or Tim Dillon.
So sweet. Usually I dont like comedians too much. I often feel that they push things to far.. Or take the task of being funny to serious. But this guy is really heartwarming. Im glad I found him, really. Rest in peace big man. ❤
RIP Louie Anderson. You always knew how to laugh at yourself and in the process make us laugh with you. You were a big man inside with a big heart and a kindness that made you a great man. Good by "Hit man Louie" you will be missed.
Please release every louie andersons standups on neflix and it will explode... just like when finally bobby lee does one !! Two of the greatest that does not have one there or allmost anywhere :(
I can't believe I slept on Louie. He's hilarious and endearing and as much as I love comedians who push boundaries and buttons it's just so nice to watch him.
Didn’t plan on binging Louie today, but laughter is always the best medicine. RIP Louie.
Always knew he was funny. But binging him and he’s hilarious!
We lost a great one. He will be missed. 😔
He was a treasure.Ill miss him.
Louie escaped.
So hard to not want to click on anything that the TH-cam algorithm gives me with his smiling face. Missed more than he will ever know!
No one does dark humor as brilliantly as this guy
Minnesota tradition.
love it so much
Life with Louie voice always gives me nostalgia, back when cartoons were really better!
I was watching that few days ago
Yes! Same here, I grew up with that show.
100% agreed 👍
There are free episodes on TH-cam. Just watched them last week.
Yes I really liked watching that growing up in the 90s :D
It's rare that someone makes Conan laugh hard and it's real.
That's always great to see!
somethingelseishere 2:28 oh yea, definitely a real laugh
@@dwightschrute3721 There's a few good ones... 2:54 is one.
Bill burr is one of the rare ones
Louie is definitely getting him. Though I feel like the ones who can get Conan the best are Norm Macdonald and Flula Borg.
Soooo true. This is Conan laughing genuinely
Such a tender hearted guy, so genuinely funny. He has always made me laugh, still enjoy watching his stand up.
"I was home from the hospital before she was." I haven't laughed that hard in weeks. RIP Louie, we'll miss you

Nothing is wrong with Howie Mandel. Both great shows. I don't know why in complementing celebrities people feel a need to degrade others.
Loved both shows a ton
God I loved life with Louie his dad was nuts lol
Louie is such an underrated comedian. He literally is one of the greats
Agreed
In the late 80s he was one of the biggest comedians in America. Literally and fame-wise.
Pretty sure he’s not underrated, he’s pretty well known
Pretty sure he is underrated

Amazing performance.
Hitman Louie's problem was not that he offered to kill his dad, it was that he was never pinned down by a sniper in France.
He was 8...
Great reply from his dad.
Louie has never had to use curse words to tell a joke. That's what I love about him. A true original.
Louie Anderson is so funny! Great interview
such a unique character.
I don't have any issues with people being overweight for the most part, but when it's someone I love like Louie, I just want him to be as healthy as he can be to live as long as he'd like to.
Well that’s the thing, you don’t want people to suffer.. and he cannot deny that he’s suffering because of his lifestyle
Just my opinion but he needs to get to the root of his problem and start there
He has said that being overweight is a struggle he has not been able to overcome. He overcame addictions to gambling, smoking, but overeating has been harder. He wrote about it in one of his books. Read his books they are funny but very sweet as well .
Or 69, whichever comes first.

Haha, You got that right mate. XD; Louie's Dad's impression he did ALWAYS cracks me up.
Also the voice of his brother lol I miss that show

Girl: Hey Louie, what do you feed your goldfish?
Louie: You know, donuts, cheesecake. I'M SERIOUS!
Louie is a natural, conversational funny man. I like his sense of humor.
This man is a national treasure. He is so damn funny.
"There he is.....hitman Louie" LOL! always great to see a new Louie interview, one of my favorite talk show guests.
Ya gonna kill me Louie?
Whenever you see Louie you know it's gonna be a good video.
Either Louie.
Jacob Shirley If you’re seeing the other one wear a raincoat, it’s gonna get slick

It's like seeing 2 friends just casually talking, that's what makes Conan's show feel so real

Goodbye Louie. You will be missed by us all.

Listen to him on comedy central this isn't happening. Good family stories
"Louie, that's an inappropriate coupon." What a line!

I'm so glad to see him. Life with Louie was one my favorites back then.
dang, what a genius. such effortless humor, he's barely making an effort and he's funnier than most people trying their hardest. love him
Someone: I'm gonna get you healthy , I'm gonna turn you around
Louie: Well you better bring another person
*That is the best fat joke ever LMAO*
Gonna miss this guy. He had such a unique comedy
RIP Louie... I'll always love his Drunk History episode for the line "Hope you're wearing cheap socks, they'll be knocked right off!"
Rest in Peace Louie, hope you're catching up with your parents while sharing a piece of Folgers cake
“Have you ever pinned down by a sniper in France?”
To an 8 year old 😂😂
Hilarious
"I'll kill dad for you" 😆
I love this man i could listen to his stories all day long. What a legend!
That joke about being ahead on his food plan is so perfect in its simplicity.
Going to be a truly sad day the day we lose Louie. Easily one of thee top comedians/entertainers we've been lucky enough to have.
Louie is the poster child for turning "lemons into lemonade".
Rest in Peace to one of the most lovable, relatable, warm and brilliant comedians ever. Louie uplifted multiple generations.
Bill Burr, Louie Anderson and Conan.... that would be a DREAM show.
Dont forget Andy 😆
He's Andy and Conan's love child.
Sushi Uchiha Exactly what I was thinking 😂
Louie is a so effortlessly funny. Seems like a great guy.
One of the most underrated funny men in history. Louie has always been hilarious!
I love when Conan gets to laugh his real laugh. He’s the greatest talk show host of our generation.
Louis is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all costs
I literally wrote these same words on his critics choice win on TH-cam.
Agree 100%!
2022 is a bitch already
Got some bad news about that

I binged the whole first season of baskets I couldn't stop laughing and Louie acts so effortlessly in it. Such a great show
"The cat licked the butter!" That cartoon was the best EVER!!!
He will always be an iconic figure.

Louie is still hilarious in 2019
His animated show was one of my favs. Now im off to search for it on youtube.

Where's Hitman Louie ?.😂

I actually saw him last year at the PGA Championship in STL. It was in the high 90's and very humid, He looked miserable, but he must love golf.
yeah he is a mobile and active bastard for his size
2:22 I love that he repeated the same joke twice, not complaining it was great.
Louie always killed. Sad his name does not come up enough when people talk about the great stand up comedians of all time.
Remember the cartoon about his childhood
4 seconds in and Conan is already laughing. Must be a new record.
Podcast with Louie ❤️ Please!
"I'm livin' on borrowed time."
Lol, I can picture my, and many other people's dad's, having fun with this scenario too.
"living on borrowed time" lol
