MISLA'S ARTIST'S TALK is part of Duck Creek's Community Outreach Program, made possible the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislator.
Misla (b. 1989, NY, NY) is a native New Yorker and mixed media artist specifically interested in the Nuyorican experience. Misla has a BFA, with the support of the first Kossok Fellowship Award, from Hunter College, and an MFA from Queens College. In 2022 she exhibited at the NY Latin American Triennial and at Domesticanx, a group exhibition at El Museo del Barrio. Misla is represented by Praxis Gallery, NYC.
