at 4:12 you choose for a EL7201-0001 wich has a DS402 protocole, as you are using a Beckhoff EtherCAT Master, I think you should use the drive with a MDP742 com. protocole .......... No ?
Do you mean the 3-D motion like gantry crane robot control? If I could have choice, I will use Siemens S7-1500 T controller to control it. S7-1500T has gantry model which enable you build up a robot involving 3/4 Axis together every efficiently.
@@electricalautomation I was thinking about an external distance sensor that measures the distance between the TCP and the workpiece surface. how to set up an Z-axis distance control so that the distance between the TCP and the workpiece surface is a constant value that has been set even if there are height differences during the motion of the manufacturing process. (TF 5200 is the functional description of beckhoff twincat but unfortunately i do not understand how to set it up 😥.

I also have no idea, the maximum value comes from your NC configuration setting. No sure why you need to read the maximum value.
