    At some point in your childhood, did you wish to magically transform into a princess? If you had a particularly active imagination, maybe you even thought you'd actually become one someday. But growing up as a princess, or any form of royalty, really, is likely a whole lot better in concept than in reality…

      Which only proves that you are willing to BELIEVE FANTASY and make decisions based on the false impressions of a silly movie and not on real people who are living real lives. Serious people rarely "learn" anything from movies (aside from dates and places of events). And, you have NO IDEA how Margaret actually treated her "friends."

    • @tonyktown
      @tonyktown 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Well using your theory of not having enough information to make an informed opinion (which is what your inferring), just based off one trolling from you I've ascertained that I definitely wouldn't want to be friends with you. Yep, kinda proves your point, eh?
      So you win, now move on and troll someone else.

    • @cjosborne9430

      @@tonyktown You need to learn to argue! Most of us learned in college English 101 or high school debate class. The "rules of engagement" are simple and finite; once learned, they are used forever. And, they haven't changed since Socrates.
      The rules are taught early on because one can't pass one's classes without knowing how. One of the most important involves ad hominem attacks; which means that every time you get nasty, you are offering further evidence of your lack of formal education.
      Providing information (that serious people rarely learn life lessons from "the movies") is hardly "trolling" but accusing others of being "lesser" is yet another "ad hominem attack," which is what those who have no real argument both rely on, and resort to, when going on the offensive.

It's being the person who wants to be there for the first step, first tooth, first boo-boo to kiss and make better! Sadly I don't think her children had that! Noone is allowed to touch the Queen, and alot of that I think she carried over to her children.

    I think Charles was the mostly affected by her coronation. Charles was 3 and possibly the one very aware of the difference between Princess Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth. Anne was just as independent as her father and was too young to feel Princess Elizabeth. With Andrew and Edward, the couple learned alot from their first two kids.

    Being a new mother, a wife , and becoming a queen in a few short years must have been very difficult. As Queen she is expected to act a certain way. Being a new mother is difficult on its on but not being able to be there as any new mother should and want to be must have also been very difficult for both mother and son.
    I think over the years the Queen has learned to show a little bit of emotion at appropriate times but being a queen in a male dominated world especially when it comes to ruling a country she is expected to act accordingly.
    I think she is one of the most fascinating people in the world. God bless her. Its not easy being Queen.

      Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

      Bcz that’s what they’re kept for..They can’t show their expression and own point of view because it’s against the crown’s principles. The sovereign is required to portray himself like a person who’s next to God; Like God behaves equal to everyone, they’re also entitled to do the same..More they’re diplomatic, the more they’re on the safe side..If a sovereign starts showing perspective and putting opinion, the people of the state they reign will be divided into two parts- anti monarchist (who don’t go along with their opinion) and monarchist (who approve their opinion) like what happens for any political party- either supporters or haters..That’s what monarchy never wants..So the diplomacy is the best way to go with..

She is well preserved! I never realized Prince Edward favors his lovely mum.

      @cjosborne9430 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jomana_azhar To someone who is insecure, probably so. And, of course, IMITATION is the sincerest form of flattery! YOUR country seemed a bit jealous and in 1801, you tried to sound more GRAND and copied the "United" form the USA and added "Kingdom" because that is what you are. It changed nothing! It would have been more instructive and inclusive IF you had included the Isle of Man; also the islands of Guernsey and Jersey. (Sounds like my grandpas barns; they both milked Guernsey and Jersey cows.)
      When we think of "Great Britain" we say ENGLAND! When we think of (the hard and cold and copycat sound of "the United Kingdom" we say England. England is an OLD name for your country and we know all about Scotland, and Wales, and Northern Ireland (although WHY you can't get along with ALL Of Ireland is still a mystery. It sounds PERVERSE to keep a small part of that island nation. Why not just give it up? It seems stubborn to just keep part.
      FYI: My people come from Northern England. My spouse's people come from Scotland. He carries a clan name (and I use it in real life). We spend a month a year in GB. We just pick a village or town and stay the month, with short day trips. We have "lived" as far away as Inverness, to Margate, to Penzance and anything in between; Dundee, Aberdeen, Paisley in Scotland, Monmouth in Wales, Saltash, Cradley Heath, Leister, Tyne and Wear, New Market, Cambridge, York (more than once) and Windsor. We tried staying in London, but it drove us crazy, so when we want to spend time in London, we will stay somewhere like Dartford, or somewhere in Surrey and use the ring road. We explore, see the sights, talk to the people, shop and do our own cooking. We go to the barber, and find a good bakery, and go to dog shows, and "settle in." We are "good tourists" for a month. We have done this since 1971.
      I have been interested in the Royals since I was a child, and HM's coronation. A friend of my mother's (who lived at Clacton-on-Sea) sent us a box of souvenirs from the coronation. There isn't much I haven't missed since. I even noticed when the Court Circular was changed so as to reflect Prince Philip coming home a month earlier than he actually did. I watched a lot of things very carefully. And, when I'm on that island, I check records that are available.
      I have also noticed that SOME BRITS CALL YOUR COUNTRY "ENGLAND." I have heard many of them "slip" and talk about "the Queen" and "England." They do not vaporize on the spot. They barely notice what they are saying. But, I do!
      I have NEVER, in all of my years of travel to GB, EVER heard a single person (in conversation) refer to Queen Elizabeth as "Queen of Great Britain" or "Queen of the United Kingdom" (in conversation; but I have heard her referred to as "the Queen of England." It is more natural and easier to say and easy to ignore.
      IF you are going to get "sniffy" about it, WHY do you not insist on "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?" WHY should we be FORCED to use the UGLY, COLD, and PRETENTIOUS name of "Untied Kingdom." It sounds like "United Parcel" or "United Fund." That is YOUR need to shorten. We prefer to shorten the name to "England." It is specific, and romantic, and historic. Your "modern ways" seem silly. (When we travel, we speak of going to "England. When we refer to the nation as a whole, or write about it, we usually call it "Great Britain.") I refuse to use the cold, impersonal, ugly, pretentious copycat name of "UK."
      An assistant lecturer in history, at a local community college, pretentiously referred to "the UK." As in, "the last time I was in the UK" blah...blah...blah. And, he would use that phrase often. So, one day,, when we were alone, I asked him exactly how much time he had spent in the UK. THREE DAYS (and two nights)! And, they were all in London, and close to the hotel his girlfriend had booked for them, because SHE was there for a conference and HE went along with her. He did NOTHING for 3 days (two nights) but hang around the hotel, waiting for her to get out of her meetings, so he had someone to talk to. And THAT is what a pretentious person (who has experienced NOTHING past landing at Heathrow and taking a van ride into the city, and smelling fumes, and eating hotel food for 3 days (2 nights).
      On the other hand, I have spend at least 30 months (living all over Great Britain) and seeing lots of museums and churches and castles and ruins and talking to LOTS of people, and vising farms, and reading papers, and going to plays. I saw the Mousetrap and The Mikado and HMS Pinafore in London; great fun! Sterling Castle is interesting. Buckingham Castle is a kick. We were allowed on the lawn and it was easy to "imagine" one of HM's garden parties. I LOVED Blenheim Castle. We were all alone at Carnarvon Castle in Wales. We had the entire place to ourselves and it was fun remembering where the Queen and Charles were for his Investiture. We visited Glamis Castle (also in Scotland). We looked for Nessie up and down Lake Ness. We ate haggis for the first time in Glasgow. We ate fish and chips in Penzance AND in Margate. We have gone to Brighton and Plymouth and saw the "White Cliffs of Dover" for the first time, on a ferry from Calais, when we started our tour in Paris. THAT can break your heart. Heck, I just like to watch the herds of sheep in Scotland. I do NOT approve of "junk" like that silly "London Eye." The British War Museum, like the British Museum are worthy of many, many trips. I went into a bar at the Old House Hotel (in Windsor) and actually heard a "discussion" between the barman and a couple of customers, as to the MERITS (and detriments) of central heating. (Only in G.B. would one hear something like that.)
      I just love England; I can't get enough of it. I have no problem with Great Britain. But, the "UK" Is a bunch of jealous pretentious silliness.
