I am going to be a senior in my nursing program but for some reason I still love watching these videos. Congrats on starting your program!! I also have that backpack, I use it for clinical and I love it! it holds everything I need. ALSO the foldable clipboard has saved me during clinical! Best of luck to you :)

Hoka is a great brand too! I’ve loved my Hoka’s all throughout nursing school. They also have an all white, leather option (Bondi SR). They are a bit pricey but they are 1000% worth the money and my feet thank me 😄 Good luck in nursing school! You’ll do great 😎
omg I have the white mesh Bondi Hokas and they are legit like walking on clouds... but I did not know they had leather ones!!!! I am sold. Thank you so much🤍
I wear compression socks and gel pads in my shoes and that really helps my feet to not hurt. Congratulations on nursing school!

Cloves shoes are amazing!! I splurged and got mine for clinical as I start nursing school next week. They have all white ones that exceed the expectation you mentioned as that wss my expectations as well. I hear they are very comfortable, and well worth the money!

congrats on starting your ABSN program! I’m 3 terms into my ABSN program, you have so got this!!! also, I HIGHLY recommend switching over to a digital note-taking/organization setup. I use my iPad air and apple pencil and I think over the last year, i’ve probably only printed out like 10 sheets of paper total. It’s so awesome, you can take notes, download textbooks, download powerpoints and write directly on them, download files and upload them straight to your school’s tech! I feel like time goes by so fast I couldn’t keep up with the amount of paper and organization i needed to have, so having all of it literally in one spot is AMAZING. Such a lifesaver!

The Clove shoes are an AMAZING Investment!! They have all white for an option and hit all the requirements you’re looking for! They are a tad expensive, but in the long run are 100% worth it and you can wear them after nursing school as well! I wear them for clinical and recently over the summer have been wearing them for my 12 hour shifts and my feet NEVER hurt!!

Some of my nursing friends recommended cloves... I think I am going to just bite the bullet and get a pair. They are sooooo much cuter than these Filas lol.

I have this backpack as well and the straps started ripping away from the body in only 11 weeks. It's not meant to carry heavy load apparently!
oh no!! I am finding the backpack to be kinda small for all my books and lab stuff. I may end up using it for clinical or something because its gonna end up breaking on me too if I keep trying to shove everything in it lol.

@@brookemorgan8847 don't be afraid to ask questions!! I was a TA for an A&P lab my senior year and even then I would be asking the professor to make sure I was locating things correctly before I helped any students lol. You're going to do great!!

Im wanting to be a RN
I am looking at accelerated programs right now, have any advice on talking to counselors.
Be prepared lol!! Have your transcripts readily available so they can see what pre-reqs you've taken/grades/GPA. Look up the requirements for the school and make sure you can either check them off or know exactly when you will have those requirements complete. I would do this prior to talking to the counselor so that way I am only asking questions that weren't already available on their website. To help process all the information, I made an excel sheet for all the different programs I was interested in to compare their requirements & see which program I could apply to the quickest.
But don't be afraid to ask questions- I feel like my admissions counselor was so annoyed with me by the end of it all lol. But I feel like it shows that you're serious about their program and eager for more info! Hope this helps & best of luck to you!! 🤍
Do you work while in school? That was always a concern of mine.. how id work and go to school.
I work part-time (2 days a week) and I find that to be hard enough.. However, I have friends in my program who work full time and make it happen!! I think it depends on your job type too.
