Yeah, I can't get over how people defend Lampert, and try to argue that Kmart was dead before him- yeah, having 1,600 stores across 49 states is really "dead"!
Yes he made it worse but Kmart was already in trouble before he got involved. Remember their 1st bankruptcy? That was before he was there. Yes he was involved with the last one but like I said Kmart was already in trouble before he got there thanks to Conway.
Everyone's focused on Lampert, but doesn't anyone know about Charles Conway? He was the CEO who was lying about Kmart's finances while spending company money on personal jets and yachts. If it wasn't for Conway, Kmart wouldn't have filed bankruptcy and Lampert wouldn't have ever had the opportunity to take advantage of Kmart's bankruptcy.
My childhood K-Mart. So many times spent there shopping with my parents. My dad hated to shop, so he’d wait for my mom by chatting with the cop (security guard stand at the front of the store - like a podium). I checked it out last year, and the store wasn’t this bad. 🙁 I have a photo from back when this plaza was being constructed. Head over the Nagle Road bridge into Lawrence Park and have lunch sometime at the historic Park Dinor.
Sad news Man This is a Last couple of Years ago to see Kmart's in 2012-2017 R.I.P Eddie Big Kmart Revisit 2021! I hope you can Find some more Kmart and Walmart Stores Too Wallie.
The Hagerstown KMART is being sub divided to allow Hobby Lobby to move into the shopping center. The front face of the store has already been torn down.
The K-Mart closest to me in Louisville KY has been split up and is now an Auto Zone, Big Lots, and Planet Fitness. There is also plans for a Bojangles in the parking lot near the road. There is also a Wendy's out front that has been there for years.
It was just announced last week that the Altoona Kmart will become a rural king. The local newspaper stated, the local investors have sold off all the land in PA, OH and MI that was bought back in the 60s and 70s mainly for building Kmart stores. I’m sure they made a pretty good penny overall, as it was a good investment!

The street lights around my neighborhood are somewhat dim and orange. I have an 8 ft by 12 ft shed that is in the lot next to my house, That I keep my lawn mower, weed eater, leaf blower and my motorcycle in along with my mobile tool box and the propane gas grill.
I used to shop at the Harborcreek Kmart all the time since it was very nice, the liquidator was so rude and kicked me out on the last day for writing notes about what the store looked like on the last day.
Great video love Kmart and always will. Was one of my favorite places to shop at. Thanks for sharing. Great video as always. Hope you have a great week.
Love your videos! Miss KMart so much! You probably heard, but if not there is lots of talk in Michigan that our last KMart, in Marshall is closing soon.
interesting video, great that you can film these old Kmart's while they're still around..i enjoyed the video you did of the Belle Vernon Pa K mart, that was my store for many years . kind of a side note, my cousin worked at the Belle Vernon store , started stocking shelves and over the years worked his way to manager ,lost his job ,Eddie took care of that as he did 100's of other jobs
Ahh...good ol KMART...in Lake Erie. Used to run the Men's Wearhouse up there in Erie! That Bon Ton is long gone too. And that KMart was a dead stick back in 2005. But so very COOL to see KMart (and always great to see your videos WallieB) Last thing I ever bought in that KMart? Lol. Was a Vanilla Ice CD, as we all went to see him (AND Digital Underground) in 2005 at the "Cell Block" (remember them?) During some "oldies" hip-hop your. Lol. Sad to see that KMart go. But it was dying even then. KMART never should have gone away from its "Blue Light Specials" and I only wish Ames would have bought THEM...rather than "throw in" with Sears (another dead horse).. And leave HILLS alone Hills was unique. They would have had to "exist" a few years of "flat sales". But Hills was always "outside the box" in its thinking. Hills bailed too early. The Kmart in Marshall,mi is officially closing sometime in November of this year...its the last Kmart in Michigan might be worth a trip to document the closing sale
Or Rural King. It seems former Kmarts are becoming Rural Kings in addition to U-Hauls and Ollie's. The one in North Versailles PA has become U-Haul. My home store in Belle Vernon PA is now Aldi, and the Pleasant Hills PA one still is empty, with Spirit Halloween coming into the Garden Shop. Have a fun October!
Look up at the front where it says KMart real big. Wallie, your videography skills have improved immensely! Your TH-cam Channel rocks! The liquidator didn't have to be so rude to you. Have a Harbor Creek Erie KMartlicious Day!
Erie guy here, They are demolishing this Kmart today. Just drove by and saw the bulldozers knocking it down. Wish I could have gotten a video, Not sure what’s going in yet.
The Harborcreek Kmart. That was the Kmart when I used to live in North East. Went down hill quick when they built the Walmart not too far from the High School. Need to to it with a Northwestern Pennsylvania accent. Pronounced Harbor crick.

hi Wallie! great video as always, kmart is your savings store. I was wondering if you can come to liberty township ohio and explore the abandoned country club motel which is near the old kroger and hallmark shop there. doors are non existent and windows are busted. thank you
I remember watching the one where you were filming it on it's last day. The pants being the last two items there was crazy enough, but the fact that (unbeknownst to the audience) there was also an uncomfortable moment with the liquidator too, wow. This was an interesting Kmart for sure 😂But seriously though, have you ever seen another Kmart so thoroughly cleaned out of merchandise by it's final day!?? You'd think with all the random crap they sell there, that would never be possible. Freaking unbelievable.
Good Evening, Wallie! Wonder if you caught the YT video that had the front door image of all 17 Kmarts still open (the one in Marshall, MI that you've went to is now in LIQUIDATION SALE, so 16 to go) as of October 1st, 2021. It does include the 6 outside Island locations (4 still in VI + the one in GU and just one in PR). Of the 11 in Continental US there are 4 in NY State (incl. 2 in The Bronx!) and 2 in FL (South Miami and Key West). In PR, where I write from, there's just the two Plaza Las Américas mall (in San Juan Metro) Kmart and Sears stores, both ~ 1/4 mile from each other (the only full-line Sears left outside Continental US) and the (7783) Kmart still had its' pharmacy open as of late last week. Man it's so sad to see Kmart's decline over the past 20 years, screw Eddie Lampert and his companies!
What would be your words to Eddie if you walked past him?
*Eddie Lampert looking at abandoned Kmart's and Sears*
*Laughing maniacally*
''I love making Kmart's close!"
*Sears and Kmart slowing dying*

The Giant Eagle in that same plaza was an awesome one. They had things from all over the world in there. Wide aisles and a big store.
