Don't forget to save after! ;-) ##### IMPORTANT (because happened to me) ##### If you start ETS2 after editing, remember to load your correct save game within your profile! There's a difference between editing subfolder "1" or "2" or "autosave". ETS2 by default loads content from "autosave". So it's best to edit THAT folder. If you edit a different one (i.e. "1") load your profile (which means ETS2 takes the last "autosave") and then load that non-autosave manually. ##### Personal notes ##### Also works with profiles connected to WoT. I needed to add 25 EUR to the money value to make it work. I used Cheat Engine to give me some money for trucks ans garages and wanted to get back to my previous value before cheating. Cheat Engine only allowed me to give myself money but it never found the cheated value to reduce it. After I followed Trucker's instruction I noticed I had something like "800" at the end of my money (ingame!), but the SII file said "825". 25 more than shown in the game. Changed to value I wanted => didn't work. Had the same MUCH cheated money again. Followed my steps/editing the game.sii and added those strange 25 EUR to my value wanted (76140 wanted => set it to 76165) and it worked. Don't ask me why. Again: Thanks a lot Big Trucker!

One important bit of info is missing in the above instructions: If you have Windows 10 you need to run the SII_Decrypt.exe as Administrator! Then it works! Thank you @Big Trucker for this video and the decryptor!

You'll first need to start the game and create a profile. The folder will be created when you first start the game. And the game.sii will be created when you start a new profile.
If you can't get it to work, do what i did. i tried opening the file in notepad once it was decrypted which didn't work. Then i opened with wordpad and it worked.
Maybe opening it with Sublime Text or Notepad++ may help? And eep in mind: This only works with new profiles, and you can cheat only one time per profile.

I did everything i swear to god it's not wroking i did very carefully followed i enabled steam saves and everything i did config thing but the problem is when i drag the file onto the decrypted file it does not open it dissapears its patched 100 %

Did you've decrypted it correctly? And dragged the game.sii into the SII_Decrypt.exe? Translating doesn't work because it's not any chinese text. Notepad displays that characters because it can't read the content of the file, due to the encryption. So, make sure you've decrypted it correctly, and also tried it with a new profile (like in the video). If that all doesn't work, try reinstalling the whole game, but make sure to backup the Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2 directory.

When i installed ats, there was never a folder for it created in my documents folder...
You'll first need to start the game and create a profile. The folder will be created when you first start the game. And the game.sii will be created when you start a new profile.

That's ok. After you have opened and closed the command prompt, then right click on the game.sii file and select "Open with... Notepad".

Think you need to turn off could based saving when creating a profile.

Just use the normal notepad from windows. It doesn't matter what you use. Once you decrypt it, it's just a text file.

My suggestion: Try it on a new profile :)
Most of the times it works, but if you do some small thing wrong, it can cause your profile to be damaged.

It's now written in CHINESE! I tried every possible option and still nothing worked
When I tried again with a different app (wordpad) it was written in numbers, symbols and a bit of Chinese
