Brisbane floods dramatic footage 13 Jan

Dramatic footage from Brisbanes CBD as dozens of boats and other items smash into bridges over the Brisbane River. Myself and Bradley Ambrose are in Brisbane covered this unfolding disaster.

Nice footage Geoff but at no point did they forecast the river to reach the highest level since records began which incidentally was in 1841 when the port gauge reached a staggering 8.5 metres.
I think the highest level forecast for this event was 5.5m or the equivalent of the 1974 floods. Had it continued raining for another 3-4 hours though on Tuesday evening and Wivenhoe Dam levels hit the first emergency spillway it could well have been so much worse.

i thought toowoomba was a crazy place 2 live in wen it comes 2 flash floods bcuz of wut happened 2 jordan rice and his mum but seems 2 me that all of QLD isnt safe wen flash floods come thru and terrorize our state
