- In the Final Part of my Meghalaya Series, we visited The Scariest Trek in Meghalaya! Mawryngkhang Trek. It is also called Bamboo Trek as more than half of the trail is made of bamboo bridges.
Based on my experience it was a moderate trek which definitely will be challenging during monsoon season. Me and my wife had a memorable time chilling at the peak enjoying beautiful views around and would highly suggest everyone to visit Mawryngkhang Trek in Meghalaya

(I'm from Western part of khasi hills Meghalaya).
last year i went to this place solo and made a vlog which is already there in my channel. you'll be surprised if i tell you that the complete bridge was built by the villagers only without taking any help from the government and the villagers are the only one who maintains and repairs the bridges whenever they passes by

The Mawryngkhang Rock is the King of Rocks. He was in love with a beautiful maiden but then had competition. So there was a battle between the two to win the maiden's hand and Mawryngkhang waa able to decapitate his opponents head & win. Its believed the head lies somewhere in that river below.
