I work as a climbing instructor in the uk and honestly watching you climb you didn't look like a total nooby. You climbed really well for someone on their first session.
I wouldn't have topped a 6a+ my first time. Grading is obviously different between gyms (and countries), but still, fast and confident from the get-go is a great start regardless of level. Even a little dynamic!
Man the IRL stream videos have been amazing. So freaking enjoyable to watch, well edited, good pacing, always something interesting.. Even if it was just you eating a little and scootering around. Super enjoyable videos. Keep it up!
The one you climbed at 10:16 is a very fun climb, especially if you don't use the holds and only use the stone. I also recommend the blue path that sits on the yellow wall to the right. It simulates climbing up a chimney and it's really fun for beginners.
Omg I'm so excited to see that special doorway ur going to turn into a play restaurant! Please do it! And your fire extinguisher matches the ancient stove in ur bedroom!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Beautiful 👏🏻
I randomly went bouldering alone 2 years ago, bought climbing shoes and a gym membership 1 week later, and I've been doing it regularly ever since. Best sport ever 5/5.
The muscles you use for your fingers are actually in your forearms connected by tendons which run trough your fingers. It gets some sessions for your forearms to get used to the grip required. And your brain needs to figure out how hard to grip something to hang onto it. New climbers are "over-gripping" by a lot often, wearing out the forearms much faster.
These irl streams have been so cool! I think you should keep doing climbing, seem to be a natural. Once you get your swole fingers you'll be pro 😄 love all the content as always Spuz ♥️
I was so flattered just when I saw the title of the video :D I do climbing/bouldering as my main workout for almost 2years now, I was so happy when I discovered it. You looked really well considering it's your first time, hope you enjoyed and might consider coming back to the gym ^^
I have been climing a while and tight shoes do make a big difference but not so much when your starting out, as you might nor have the balanceand foot strength to take advantage of the shoe (also most rental shoes suck) . I would recommend going a bit more for confert just so you enjoy it more and can clime for longer which is alot more beneficial than tight shoes in my opinion.
I've only done bouldering. Climbing looks really fun and actually less scary, cause you're always secured and can't fall off. I still poop my pants sometimes when bouldering. I gotta try climbing like this
i used to climb when i was a kid, seeing this makes me want to try it again. its been almost 20 years.... but closest is an hour drive and no friends to go with. RIP
The wall climbing establishment that I went before Covid, may I say it was my first time doing that, had some automatic security ropes so you don't need someone to stay on the ground to secure you. Jumping from the top of the wall on them make you freefall for like 0.5 - 1 sec but when you do it, it feel like you are falling for 1 mins before the mechanism start to reduce your falling speed and that is really a hearth stopping moment, fun tho. 😅😂
My tip from when I used to climb is "Use your hip to climb instead your hand". Your first fall/slip is going to decide whether you are going to continue climbing or not and yes, I'm quit(lol).
As a climber myself, I wonder what level the first one was :) Also, if it's the same level as here in Belgium, 6a+ is already a good level :0 Also, that first wall is really nice :D
Its not a hipster thing to climb in jeans. There are jeans made for climbing and ita about protecting your leg skin from the wall as well as your knee when using knee bars.
I had a guy who was being my secure guy. As i got to the top this almost killed me by letting me fall from the top. Mindcyou he had those automatic secure thingy so he only needed to give me more rope as i climbed. He took the safety off, told me to jump away from the wall and you can picture how that ended. Luckly there was no permanent damage
Nice! glad you tried climbing. only one objection for Joel, he should've show you some basic moves and techniques. maybe he showed you but it's not in the video... climbing is like a chess, you have to think few moves ahead.. and save your energy.. you experienced how quick you get tired. :D
Did you try climbing without your streaming equipement? I kept thinking it could make things easier for you ❤ Thanks for suffering for our entertainement
that overhang... more like gold. though the holds looked nice. yeah jack def carried you. i think he overestimated jonas's height. the classic let me jump up and belay you up higher.
As a climber i approve this "seems easy but is hard" message 😆 you fight for your life on the wall and than you look at the vid your buddy took and you look like a child on playground 😂
I work as a climbing instructor in the uk and honestly watching you climb you didn't look like a total nooby. You climbed really well for someone on their first session.
Awww thanks!! I had a good teacher :D
Ikr, I almost didn't believe it was the first time. Sitting back on the rope to come back down is something I've seen every newbie struggle with

Joel seems like a lovely bloke! Thanks for the recap vids, spuz!
Yeah he is great :D
Loving these recaps of the IRL streams as I usually can't catch them myself!
Glad you're liking them! More coming
@@SpuzieIRL Thanks spooz, good stuff
Gosh, Joel was so natural and chill on the camera! I like him already
Man the IRL stream videos have been amazing. So freaking enjoyable to watch, well edited, good pacing, always something interesting.. Even if it was just you eating a little and scootering around. Super enjoyable videos. Keep it up!
At first I was a bit skeptical about this format
But it was clutch idea, those climbing POVs were awesome!!
Awesome! More to come :)

This was so wholesome and I loved how much your friend cheered you on
Omg I'm so excited to see that special doorway ur going to turn into a play restaurant! Please do it!
And your fire extinguisher matches the ancient stove in ur bedroom!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Beautiful 👏🏻
You should try a collab with Magnus Midtbø, I'm sure he would love to do a first time climbing with a streamer video!
Great suggestion!
great seeing people get into climbing, super cool setup as well having chat on your arm, more of these!! :)
I randomly went bouldering alone 2 years ago, bought climbing shoes and a gym membership 1 week later, and I've been doing it regularly ever since. Best sport ever 5/5.
Noice! Very fun workout!
So... Joe is ofFISHally a FEESH!
Cool dude, was nice "meeting him".
Nice! Keep on climbing! Your climbing is looking extremely solid for doing for the first time!
Oh man this was so much fun!
Doubly so as a climber.
Hope you persist with this, I'd love to watch you improve
That is so cool! i have also picked up climbing lately and it feels so rewarding when I finish routes!
Loving your IRL streams a lot!! keep em coming
Glad you're digging the streams!
Loved this! Would love to see more!
Glad you liked it :)
i never expected mr strimer man to become IRL mr strimer man, but i really enjoy it keep it comming mr strim. ( i really liked Joel)
it is so weird seeing the "Joel" emote being spammed so much as someone named Joel myself 😂
I can imagine!
That's very good for a first time! If you're having fun, definitely keep going. It only gets more fun with practice :)
Tyyyy I might!
Damn, im really enjoying these irl streams. And I'm super happy you tried climbing. Im sure this is not gonna be your last time doing it

Just got back from bouldering! :) Great combo of exercise and problem solving

it most be lovely to have about 1000 people saying :YOU CAN DO THIS: :D :D
Love the work keep it up :D
We MUST get another climbing stream
I've only done bouldering. Climbing looks really fun and actually less scary, cause you're always secured and can't fall off. I still poop my pants sometimes when bouldering. I gotta try climbing like this
Haha yeah it was rly fun! Go for it!!
i used to climb when i was a kid, seeing this makes me want to try it again. its been almost 20 years.... but closest is an hour drive and no friends to go with. RIP
actually really good for the first time.
it looked like you actually used the bare wall with your feet witch a lot of beginners wont do.
that is something I didn't expect! Spuz I think you could be great at climbing if you stick with it. You have a good body type for it!
o7
More climbing content, D4ve!! It's fantastic!
Stockholm was the only place in my european trip I didn't get to go and climb at a wall as it was out of town
Glad you had fun Malphite climbing! Tell us, is he really as solid as he says?
been climbing for 2 years now, best way of working out!
great job! have you considered linking up with eric karlssen? he makes climbing content in stockholm. they’re great

Please do also other lives like this :P loved looking at it while working, makes working less boring *sad tear*
i love this video format of spuz out touching grass
My tip from when I used to climb is "Use your hip to climb instead your hand". Your first fall/slip is going to decide whether you are going to continue climbing or not and yes, I'm quit(lol).
Big question did you like bouldering or rope climbing more?
As a climber myself, I wonder what level the first one was :)

Joel is such a gem haha

Man I LOVE rock climbing, I was the fittest ever in my life when I did it 2 to 3 times a week
Is it me, or there were a few people during the video just running with groceries in the background? ahaha great video

Man my palms got sweaty watching the last POV climb 😅
i too remember my first doooitz

Man zelda totk looks so realistic!
I was there a year ago!
If this was not the in real channel I would've thought you'd started league again XD
Did you try climbing without your streaming equipement? I kept thinking it could make things easier for you ❤ Thanks for suffering for our entertainement
