Pete, try using 3 inch wide packing tape on the statue. That should pull the lint, dust, particles off. It will take a while but should work out great. I was gonna suggest the same thing but on a collectors piece, the adhesive would remain on the costume and attract dust. What you would want to do is use plumbers thread tape (non-adhesive) to statically lift the dust, I think.
I would gamble on the grading for the Aaron card. You're $100 in and a $50 bet to make $500 is a pretty decent gamble. If its not a 5 then you still have a graded card and likely make your money back. Good luck on whatever you choose! @13:20
Hey Pete @CraigslistHunter LOVE your channel! The guy with the X-Men figures knew they weren't from 1997. To clean the star wars figure get a really good quality soft horse hair brush like a car detailing brush and get a decent vacuum cleaner and gently brush the figure whilst holding the vacuum hose underneath where you are brushing to collect the dust it won't be a quick process but it definitely will not damage anything

I would use an air compressor (NOT canned air). Use bursts from different angles. If the dust is going into the fabric, it is already there. You best bet is to use AIR to get as much of it off the material. I would not use a vacuum, it can stretch the material! Once finished, use a very soft brush like a paint brush to work any needed areas or blow from the reverse side out. Once finished, you may need to use a damp microfiber cloth to work a specific area. When finished, it should look brand new. Good luck!

Grading a card boils down to what card it is along with condition and how much it could potentially fetch being graded. In some cases you can get more selling it ungraded because the grade it may have gotten would of hurt the value. Sometimes people will pay up for a ungraded card if they think they can get it graded themselves and make a few bucks or keep if for personal collection. It's a gamble both sides have to take.
I gotta say - I can't help but to have a deep respect for any man who's able to articulate the reasoning behind his decision, whether I agree with that decision or not. 👍🏻
Use a 1" clean paint brush to use with a regular vacuum to clean your tall fellow. Don't use a shop vac as the suction could be too strong and damage the material. Put the brush in one hand the vacuum hose in the other and brush the dust into the nozzle. The Baseball card, I would send it in, as it is worth it.
Typically it’s not a great an idea to buy raw vintage baseball cards. There are too many fakes. I thought the reason you’d only buy graded cards is to guarantee the authenticity of the card.
100%, I would grade that card. It is one of those situations where it deserves to be, and when the market pops back up, you could have a $1200-$1500 card.
I would definitely put a big price tag on the 6ft star wars figure ! Even if it doesn't sell for a year that's one of the coolest things to have in your shop!!! 🖖
The thing with high-end expensive watches is that you're the happiest guy when you buy them and wear them and a month or two down the road you're the happiest guy on the planet when you've sold it.
The centering on the 55 Topps Hank Aaron card is great. Personally, I would send that card to SGC not PSA, with the centering and color SGC will most likely give that card a higher grade then PSA would. It looks authentic although the card stock does look thicker than normal.
What I would do in regards to cleaning up that action figure is to blow air on it from the inside out while using a vacuum that has a nice bristle attachment. That will be your best friend in regards to getting all that dust and stuff off of it. What you can use to lift off some of the white stuff from the Styrofoam is painters tape turned inside out, it will remove a bunch of of it without doing any damage.
Yes get it graded! Sometimes you will be surprised what garade it might get! Usually you can expect .5 or 1 grade higher than you think. Especially if you are not used to sending in cards.

That Hank Aaron card looks to be very well centered. I know PSA puts a lot of weight in centering with Baseball cards. Also looks really clean, good color no fading. Might be a solid 5 candidate, I'd say it's worth the shot with only $100 invested. If you get lucky it could go higher than 5. I've been surprised by PSA numerous times, for better or for worse. Worse comes to worse you crack it out of the case and sell it as ungraded for $250.
👍🏻👍🏻That Hank Aaron baseball card 👍🏻👍🏻 I'd say it's worth about $1500 but have a graded it would grade high. That's in fantastic condition: condition, the colors the surface the back of the card and yes, I've been collecting baseball cards for decades at once I was an eBay power seller back in the early circa 2000
Maybe vacuum the robe of the Darth Maul and then use the sticky side of packing tape to lift off any remaining dust or dirt. It works like a lint roller, but stickier. It’s a great piece!
Just to use a soft cleaning brush. You know, just brush it, don't use? Wet or anything on it. Just brush it first and brush off all the loose dust and dirt that you can get off of it first and then you might be able to clean it a little bit with like you know some rubbing alcohol in water, nothing other than that cause that could make the material bleed or die out or whatever. But if you use rubbing alcohol and water or maybe even vinegar, but vinegar smells terrible so just dust it with a brush that you clean with you know, like a little hand brush and just brush off all that dust, really good start from the top and work your way down and then think about cleaning it with something but I wouldn't do it without dusting it really good first and even if you were to blow it out you'll be able to get it off, it'll be fine. But I would say, maybe a light bit of blowing while you're brushing it and it'll blow the dust away. I think it'll be fine.
Had a Jar Jar from the same Star Wars promo years ago and he sold for 1700.00 with box and all, that box took up so much room in my garage :) Cleaned him up with my air compressor..carefully.
I deal in alot of cards. People don’t realize that now days PSA and others charge grading cost for what it’s worth. If it’s a $2,000 card it could cost $400 to grade and if it’s a $100 card it could be $25 to grade. Not all grades price the same. I just wanted to share my experience.

Pete I'm leaving you a comment about the scooter you're taking apart with a Swiss Army knife😂😂 you own a Pawn Shop full of tools❤😂 like your TH-cam channel keep up the good work
Hey Pete love the show ... The guy in the red shirt that was selling the miscellaneous third party PS5 items is very weird ...lol
Offending all star wars fans calling him darth mule and calling it a wand. Love it lol. Darth Maul was the most badass Star Wars villain (Sith) who was in one of the least liked movies and had the dumbest death. Cut in half by obi wan kenobi.
He didn't die! He survived an made himself a robotic bottom half!!!
Check out StarWars cannon there's 100' of books they never made movies about.
Dark Mall, his wand
obviously a real Star Wars fan, lol
😂😂
I love it. All the “fans” these days are annoying as all get out. Good to see someone who doesn’t know or particularly care.
@@Kerunou Yeah it's fine, I just found it humorous
Send the card in and have it graded 👍🏻
The guy with the ps5 chargers is SKETCHY AF!
That guy in red is off the Xanzzz😂
That yellow N64 towards the end of the video is a great buy. Lucky guy!
I didn't know they made a yellow one.
