Did not like that slippery shade at all. I don’t even like how it looks in the pan. It’s like a Petrie dish of corona virus lol that’s what it looks like to me

What if the slippery shade was meant to be used as the base for all the other shimmers, almost like spraying your brush. Ie, put the slippery shade down, then pack one of the shimmers on it to intensify them?
Slippery: a shade that only could have come out in 2020.

All of the shadows looked the same once blended onto the eye. Doesn't look like you'd get many different looks with this palette.
I have the new nudes palette and I have the same problem. They all blend into the same color.
I wanted to reply the same about the new nude palette. Every shade looks the same
@@dariaciobotar1128 I definitely have buyers remorse with it. It looked so pretty but then when I got it I was just disappointed cause it was really hard to do anything with it. $65 down the drain cause I hardly ever reach for it 😭

I think it looks like a beautiful palette.... almost like a “New Nude” for deeper skin tones, so that makes me super happy ! I may purchase this at a later date bc I’m maxes out palette purchases ATM 🤪, although this does give me inspiration to get back into my New Nude palette, it used to be my GO TO !

I couldn’t stop noticing that almost all of the big Huda beauty palettes have really similar undertones,like pink and purple undertones

I think that the slippery shade is for a stand alone look. To go with the glass skin look 👀. I think if you tried that on its own on your lid with you would like it better!

When I say I clicked so fast!! Love you girl ❤️ EDIT: Huda should’ve separated the gloss as a single big pan to purchase alone or maybe a smaller gloss palette to go with Naughty!
I wish Huda would stop doing a “special” shade or formula in one of the pans of her large palettes. I get that she’s trying to do something different but I never use the eyeshade “base” in my New Nude palette and I don’t think the average consumer is going to use an eye gloss. If I’m paying over the typical $50 price range of a high end palette I want to be able to use all the shades. And those ones end up being useless for me.
I love makeup. For this reason. Because I 100% disagree 😜 lol. For me, the “special” shades are something I look forward to. It’s a fun sprinkling of something fun without having to commit totally! I absolutely get your point of view however. The base shade in my New Nude palette has definitely seen better days lol! 😱🧡
The slippery shade is just disgusting and it should never have been made. However the new nudes pallet is my ride or die all time favorite pallet and I completely used up the base/concealer in it; I wish I could get it in it’s own pot because it made a fantastic eye primer!
@@thatstrangebuggirl4150 I always forget to use primers. I’m lazy and just usually blend concealer on my lids. So I wish there way another eyeshadow there. But I do LOVE the rest of the palette! At least the average user *may* use the base, but who in their actual every day lives wears an eye gloss?? No one I know lol. Seems so pointless!

Honestly I never used primers before either, I’d just blend my foundation onto my eyelids while I was doing the rest of my face first; and when I got the new nudes at first I was like “oh that’s kinda dumb” but then I ended up trying it and really liked it, and it was easy for me to remember to use it because it was just right there with everything I was already gone use. Now I’m out of it, and I’m back to using foundation as a base because I don’t want to spend the money trying out eye primers to see if I can find one I like as much as I liked that one in the pallet 😂. And I 100% agree with you on the eye gloss thing. Idk who would use that, I think she only put it in the pallet to get people to buy it just out of Curiosity; which is equally impractical and a great marketing tactic. I just can’t handle the texture of slipper personally, like it just really grosses me out. Makes me think of slug slime or something with weird balls of color in it lol
the slippery shade seems to be a bit inconsistent. when you look at the amount of pigment in the palette you got compared to the one on the huda beauty instagram?? 🧐
I think the more you use it; the more pigment you will get, but it definitely disrupts your eyeshadow 😓

In the huda beauty IG video she says some pallettes will have more pigment balls than others. It seems like a production issue.

Me to. I kinda feel like she wanted to make something that was unique and no other palette had. I thought the concept was cool when I saw Huda’s video but now that I’m seeing it up close it looks very weird.
To me Huda literally does the SAME colors over and over and over again! The nude small palettes look exactly like this minus that new balm shade that none asked for! And even the new small palettes look like some of her other ones other than Khaki but even that one isn't that great because she added too much brown and not enough green!
You always make it so much easier for me to decide to buy something!!!!

Thanks for the super fast review! I was quite curious about the Slippery shade because I thought it would give some otherworldly glow. But it doesn't look like it? So I'm not sure what its purpose is. The swatches looked way more attractive than I expected though.

You make any palette look beautiful! When I first saw pictures of this new palette the slippery “shade” looks like germs 🦠 in a Petri dish and was only really made and put in this palette for shock value for 2020. It’s a very different looking palette.

I like how your look turned out. When I first seen the pallet, I was in love with the color story but I didn't realize slippery was a gloss so that is a bit disappointing especially after you tried it, didn't do much. Still such a pretty pallet, a little pricey for me. Maybe I'll treat myself for my upcoming bday.

Yesssss. I just ordered mine last night after midnight. It was so hard to wait forvtgis palette to drop. The look you created was beautiful!! I agree with the slippery shade, I don't care for gloss type shadows cuz it always disrupts the eyeshadow underneath and even when using it alone without any other shadows, it makes my eye feel sticky and then it creases without fail...so annoying 🙄...but the rest of that palette is beautiful!! I will definitely purchase this palette cuz I love the deep shades and those colors go amazing with blue eyes ❤️😁

I love this look - especially with blue eyes! 😍 I did my best to recreate it with shadows I already have on hand - but I must admit those colors are hard to dupe (at least out of my fairly large collection). My look came out a bit more “raspberry” which is pretty but those shades in the Naughty pallet are so stunning! I still can’t justify purchasing the pallet, but maybe I’ll put it on my Christmas list 😊😊😊😊 thank you for the review!
