DXB 5293 what a purebred! Love that 7 stacker @ 3:15 at Goat Creek, 5 DXC bankers added at Otira for the run up the 1 in 33 gradient to Arthur's Pass - the sound of those DX's is a sheer utter symphony of music to my ears oh yeah! 5:10 another beauty, however my fav has got to be @ 5:48 with all 7 Dixies crankin' up big time, smoke bellowing from the 'zorsts of 7 turbocharged General Electric 7FDL 4 stoke V12 diesel engines omg it so doesn't get any better than this!

+Russell Lewis You are a complete troll. Go back on your meds as you have clearly ceased taking them. Stop ranting, raving, and abusing people making sensible comments here and get back in your box where you have obviously come from. Get a life.

Enjoyed your video- great shots. I was interested to see the old Silver Fern railcars being hauled. I rode on the Silver Fern 40 years ago from Wellington to Auckland- a great journey. I regret that there are not more passenger trains running now. I always read other viewers comments so I think that it was a pity that the mental hospital in which Russell Lewis resides have given him access to a computer. Ignore him and keep up the good work. Best wishes from UK

The cars from time stamp 2:00-6:00 were they ore cars or some other type of cars: is the power unit that pull the trains made in NZ or they from outside NZ. thanks for a very good video with some very beautiful country scenery in it

Never seen 7 Dx locos on a train before, were they testing a few before general release to traffic? To the best of my knowledge they usually use 3 locos to assist the 2 train locos...

+struck2soon Nope its a regular thing in Otira now, with fire suppressed DXC's now running they can run more through the Otira tunnel.

+Russell Lewis russel, you need to learn how to behave outside jail. Ranting and swearing for no particular reason will only make you less popular than you already are, although with zero subscribers it is hard to see how you could drop lower. Time for some anger management classes!
