Hey, in this agree or disagree questions
My tutor told if I am disagreeing or agreeing to prompt, I have to follow this basic pattern-
      Para 1- introduction
      Para2 - reason 1 of agree/disagree
      Para 3- reason 2 of agree /disagree
      Para 4- conclusion
But according to Mr jay here-
      Para 1- Introduction
      Para 2-acknowledging one side
      Para 3- agree/disagree other side
      Para 4-conclusion
I am Confused because no were I have seen Acknowledging other.
      Which method is correct ?

Discipline is one of the crucial parts of raising a child, and there are various ways of going about it.
Some people believe that corporal punishment, or smacking, is the ideal form of discipline. This essay will argue that smacking children is a completely unnecessary way to discipline children, despite any potential benefits to this method.

Dear Jay, you are one of the best teachers I've met in my life! Feel blessed....
I would be grateful if someone here can review the beginning of my essay which I did following the instructions from the video. I thank you in advance....
Discipline in relation to children has been a controversial topic for discussion since time immemorial. Some people believe that physical punishment is a wise choice when it comes to children's discipline. This essay will argue why smacking is completely inappropriate way to treat children when they misbehave.
Some parents think that applying physical power is a very effective way to control children. They find it necessary to use when children do not understand commands expressed orally or behave in a very violent manner. Moreover, adults may consider smacking as a means to inhibiting deeper understanding of appropriate behaviour into their children's minds. For instance, when a child misbehaves and initiates bullying, it seems wise to apply smacking in order to show him how unpleasant and painful the exercise of physical power towards others can be.
Although smacking may seem beneficial to some parents, disadvantages of such form of discipline greatly outweigh the advantages. Smacking children may lead to serious repercussions such as deterioration of their psychological state. It has been reported that 30% out of all children smacked suffer from severe mental diseases lately. Parents who have beaten their children for the sake of better code of conduct condemn that they need to manage serious health problems their children face afterwards. Moreover, applying physical power to children is highly likely to cause unfriendly home environment, deteriorate family relationships, and negatively influence children who become more aggressive and violent in a response to such form of punishment as smacking. Therefore, parents should avoid smacking and regard it as very dangerous and cruel method to shape children's behaviour.
This essay argued that physical punishment of children is inappropriate way of controlling their behaviour. It seems reasonable that parents who smack their children must consider the drawbacks such practice implies, and need to change their methods accordingly. In my opinion, ceasing to use smacking is an absolute imperative and, definitely, a wrong way to treat misbehaving children.

    $Introduction/ 45 words
These days people smack their children as a way to raise them. They claim that physical punishment is the best way to correct their path. This essay will argue why smacking children is unnecessary, and that there is more than one way to discipline children.
    $Paragraph1/ 82 words
On the one hand, some parents have been hitting their children believing that is a way to improve their behaviors. nowadays children became harder to deal with so using physical punishment can correct the situation. Moreover, children will remember the pain and not repeat their mistake repeatedly. Indeed, some children act rude and bad so, a good way to correct and teach them is smacking. In spite of how it will affect them in the future, smacking children is the best form of discipline.
    $paragraph2/ 102 wors
On the other hand, regardless of how smacking can teach the child, this idea is totally unnecessary. Children are smarter than to correct them by hitting. Studies show that 67% of children who have been smacked by their parents are more likely to depression and addictions. Therefore, courses are made in each town to teach parents how to deal with their children in other ways such as talking, prizes and to punish by taking their games. Overall, the idea of smacking children is the best form of discipline is dangerous in itself and could lead to a far worse outcome for society.
    $Conclussion/ 49 words
This essay argued why smacking children is unacceptable including that who use physical punishment are totally teaching their children wrong, and how there are other ways to teach children other than hitting. In my opinion, Smacking a child is absolutely unnecessary that can cause bad complications in the future.

Discipline is something that should be taught to someone ever since they were young. Many people believe that physical punishment is the best way to instil discipline into children, such as smacking them. This essay will argue that smacking children is not the best way to enforce discipline upon them and there are other options available.
Raising children is a difficult task, and parents opt to using physical punishment, such as smacking, to control them when they are misbehaving or having tantrums. For generations, parents have been using physical punishment as a form of discipline, and some parents are only familiar with that one method as they were raised with those type of consequences in their household. Some parents also believe that by using corporal punishments is the best way to educate children. For example, parents can easily stop their child’s uncontrollable behaviour such as saying a bad word in just a few seconds. This quick and brief way of portraying consequences to children make parents believe that physical punishment is the best choice discipline them.
I believe that this traditional way of discipline is unnecessary in our modern time. Studies show that children who were raised with the normalisation of physical punishment will grow up and develop serious mental illness such as depression. Children should be raised in an environment where making mistakes is not a bad thing, instead it is a learning process. For example, parents can opt using other methods such as time out, talking with their child or taking away something they enjoy doing such as their video games. Using violence to discipline children is dangerous in itself and could lead to far worse outcome for society.
In conclusion, there are many methods parents can use to discipline their child. I definitely believe that a softer approach in disciplining children will positively affect the child’s development. Children are also human and we should be respectful of their feelings.

Loved this tutorial, thank you so much, I am going to rewatch it again and again. Here is my essay:
Smacking is a common method used by parents to discipline children in various cultures. These parents believe that smacking is the most effective approach for managing children. This essay will argue why it is completely wrong and dangerous.
Some parents resort to smacking as the sole method of controlling children’s behavior. Their motivation stems from two primary reasons: firstly, parents believe that smacking disciplines their children immediately, moreover when children are physically hurt, they are not likely to repeat the same mistake in the future. Research suggests that parents are naturally protective of their children, if slapping helps their child to grow into a better person, they may not hesitate to consider this option. This clarifies why some parents regard smacking as the best method for dealing with unruly children.
Despite the immediate positive outcomes of physical abuse, the practice of smacking is a completely inappropriate and unhealthy way of managing children in the long run. Strict parenting style has only adversely affected children’s mental health. Due to physical abuse, children have been distancing themselves from their parents. Indeed, this is the reason why these days many children indulge themselves in drugs and build wrong relationships. Recent research has shown the increased suicide rate among young children due to wrong parenting style. Therefore, I stand completely against any form of physical abuse against children.
In conclusion, this essay argued that parents who use smacking to discipline their children have a poor understanding of children’s psychology and underestimate the negative effects of physical abuse. In my opinion, no matter how badly a child behaves, parents should not hurt them physically and instead address the situation with thoughtful consideration. (260 words)

For the 'smacking of children as the best disciplinary measure', i decide to somewhat agree and include in my thesis statement that 'other measures would be better'. is that proper? and how would i go about it.

In this particular essay, being a medical professional, I would like to suggest that "Preventable Diseases " and "Spreadable Disease " are not synonym. We can definitely use it as a synonym for "Communicable or Contagious diseases/infections" but not for Preventable. Vaccine preventable diseases are a group of special illnesses and not all spreadable disease are vaccine preventable.. sorry for being too technical but thought to mention it here. Thanks.

Could any experts comment on my writing? I need a band 7 at least in writing. Thanks in advance!
Question prompt: Smacking children is the best form of discipline
Physical punishment of children has always been around while disciplining. Some people believe that physical punishment is the right way to discipline. This essay will argue that smacking is entirely unacceptable to nurture children although it might be one of the ways under extreme circumstances.
Some parents believe that smacking is the most efficient way of disciplining their children. The reason why they prefer that way of disciplining is to see the results of punishment instantly. Yet another reason is that physical power has always been around and has probably been used by their parents. For example, in Central Asian countries using physical punishment was practiced for several decades and according to national statistics, every second family used a smacking at some point in their lives while nurturing their children. Therefore, the effect of the cultural environment and society where they live might be the inherent reason for taking these types of unacceptable measures while raising their children.
Despite the fact that smacking might be considered by some parents as an efficient way of disciplining for an instant result, it is completely detrimental in the long run for their children. The major reason for not taking these forms of discipline is the psychological effects that may potentially adversely return in their children’s adulthood. For instance, according to the World Health Organization children who experienced physical punishment in their childhood are more likely to conduct robberies and participate in conflict situations than the ones who have not had any smacking. Recent research by the Statistical Analysis department come to the outcome that 45% of children who experienced physical punishment by their parents during their childhood believe that this affected adversely their choice of future career and marital status. Thus, in order to cease these negative effects in children’s later lives parents should avoid smacking.
This essay argued that although physical punishment could be considered as one of the ways of disciplining children, implementing these types of measures might potentially destroy children’s lives. In my opinion, smacking children during their childhood can entirely change their lives in a negative means that most parents are not willing to do.

Hitting children to discipline them has become a subject of heated debate nowadays. There are many who believe it is an effective method, however there are also people who disagree. This essay will argue the reasons as to why causing physical pain to children is definitely not the best way to go about, even though there are some benefits to it.
Parents smacking their children to control them is an age-old practice that has been proven to be effective in the past. Behavioral psychologists have consistently proven that we humans are biologically programmed to avoid pain and seek pleasure. This pain avoidance behavior is used as an effective tool by parents to deter children from doing things that they disapprove of. Causing physical pain is also the quickest and easiest method available. Parents often have a very busy schedule and it does not take much effort or time to pick up a cane and spank! For example, my childhood friend completely stopped bed wetting at the age of 9 when his father beat him up for it. Therefore, smacking has become the preferred option by many parents because it is effective, fast and easy to do.
Even though hitting children to teach them how to behave is effective and easy, it has far reaching negative consequences which would manifest as the child grows up. For starters it would cause permanent psychological damage. Numerous studies have shown that childhood trauma, even if mild and done with good intentions results in antisocial behaviour later on in life. There have been reported cases of criminal tendencies, psychopathy and sociopathy in adults which can be traced back to excessive forms of physical punishments as a child. Besides, there are many other safer ways to discipline a child. Non-physical punishment like forcing them to do house hold chores is a good example. Counselling is yet another good example. This has the added benefit of teaching the child why his behavior is unacceptable. If the child can understand why bed wetting is wrong, he or she would take the initiative to change without being forced to do so. Therefore, parents should consider other ways to discipline their child because there are many safer options available other than smacking which has negative psychological consequences.
This essay argued that there are better and safer options to discipline a child other than inflicting physical pain. In my opinion, smacking children is not the best way to instill discipline and should only be used as a last resort since there are other better and safer alternatives available.

Hi, can you please help me reach the targeted score. What other study resources did you use besides listening to Jay’s video tutorials

    • @eydayday
      @eydayday 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@maidaharshad4594 I only watched Jay's video tutorials, and took 5 prep tests. I would recommend taking the prep tests, so you can time yourself, and get used to the type of questions they ask. I don't think there is a fast way to study overnight, but Jay gives a really good overview and tips for each sections. So keep those in mind, and take lots of prep tests.
