I would come to miss the outdoor scenes that were not shown in the later episodes. The exterior of Collinwood is actually the Carey Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, now a residence hall for Salve Regina University. The exterior of the Old House is a former mansion (now since burned down) in a small town north of New York City. The Collinsport street scenes, as well as the Collinsport Inn, were based in Essex, Connecticut. I suppose the producers decided that the trips to these places were not worth the few seconds that they actually appeared in the episodes.
QUESTION! Is there NO ONE else in this town that eats at this cafe? I mean JEESH! You would think with all the work in this town, SOMEONE outside of the Collins and Burke frequent this eatery.
Heavenbound Daughter yep. He is. Too bad he's in so few of the later episodes. And when he's there his character doesn't impact the plot all that much. Then again, I guess the same thing can be said for many of the characters. The cast is so big, even Vicky doesn't impact in hugely in the grand scheme.
Even though he's a cowardly snake, a liar, and unfortunately seems to hate is son, I enjoy his character, the show wouldn't be the same without him. He's one of those people who makes us ask ourselves "can anyone really be this reprehensible and full of 'ulterior motives' for their actions?"
BearWoman47 Who knows, but I am always amused by the substitute waitresses not being given any lines due to the fact that a speaking role would have gotten them more money!
Those are various cues used throughout the series. Generally the cues were numbered, not named. Some cues were used less often than others, and some were left unused because other cues that were better takes or versions of the same composition were chosen, or the cues didn't work out as planned.
+Eileen Rivera The camera and mic shadows, the bangs off stage, even the swaying overhead light in the sheriff's office 13:44 definitely added to the errie atmosphere.
I wonder where these outdoor scenes were shot. Did they pick a small Maine town, or somewhere in NY or CT? It seems vaguely familiar to me. I swear I've seen that street before with the big church in the background. Mystic, CT? Anyone know?
Where is this werewolf? I heard about some kind of ghoul, and isn't there an alien monster involved? Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, Zompwolves, all the same to me.
William Benton I know. I was just "Goofing" around. Actually I like the first 120 episodes, with just a hint of "Supernatural" and lots of mystery, and intrigue. I am now at 130 and the show is changing....I look forward to the future episodes.

Sound goes out in a couple of places so far (at least) - bad original filming or transfer to TH-cam problem?
I do not care, despite all his scheming, Roger Collins is by far my favorite character!
i hesitantly agree. I did like him a lot, but now it's tottering. It is helpful that burke is 100% sympathetic
He really is something. Louis Edmonds was great.

I love this period in America. People carried themselves and were still dressing appropriately, and modesty was king.
Dr. Dimitri Moisevitch from the film 2010 anyone? You get that right and you're pretty good at your film trivia....
Favors for Roger!

Didnt Dana Elcar EVER have hair? He looks exactly like he did in 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' with Robert Conrad.
Macgyver even
geez. I just google him he went blind in the 80s, but still kept acting. That's sad, but great
Did Roger and Vickie do a dine and dash?
BearWoman47 Who knows, but I am always amused by the substitute waitresses not being given any lines due to the fact that a speaking role would have gotten them more money!
Does anyone know the name of the music used when Roger and Vicki are walking outside? Shame the show never uses it in later episodes.

many times the shadow of the mike is seen (shadow, ironic) and why do many of the phone numbers only have 4 digits?!

In those days, if a small town only had one exchange, you could often dial a local phone number with four digits.

I went to Essex CT one day and suddenly recognized the Collinsport Inn, I had forgotton it was used as the Inn.

Those are introduced much later into the series. Ghosts however are seen and talked about quite frequently before Barnabas even shows up in the 200's

Where's Maggie?
Maria Swora Probably taking more time off to make sure Sam isn't boozing it up so early in the morning.
