  • I’ve been wanting to get my hands on an electric Mini for a while and finally I can tell you what it was like.
This is part 1 of my in-depth review of the 2021 Mini Cooper S Electric and I’ll explore the design, practicality, interior, infotainment and how it stacks up against its rivals.

    Specifications:
As of 2021, Level 1 spec cars bring a decent amount of kit - sat nav, two-zone air-con and cruise control, but the extra equipment on Level 2 models are probably the sweet spot in the range with features include rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, heated seats, extra colour and wheel options and the driving assistance pack, including automatic high-beam assistance and traffic sign recognition.
Level 3 and Collection cars add extra luxuries in a head-up display, self-parking ability, upgraded matrix LED headlights, Harman Kardon stereo and a panoramic roof.

Good video. If it's not too late can we please have a video of getting into and out of the back seat?

The Mini Electric's place is awkward because, at the used budget of £16,000, it will be competing against the likes of the Peugeot e208 which has more space and better range.
Though, if you look at it as simply a 2 seater, I can't think of any cars that are more stylish

I think that's it, as a 4 seater it's really not up to par compared to rivals but if you don't need the back seats, it's quite a unique wee bomber.

All EV's are retro. It's very old technology pre-ICE. Glorified milk floats.
